Join SVBC and San Jose's Conservation Corps Trail Patrol for a captivating morning of bike riding. This partnership between the Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition and the San José Conservation Corps + Charter School presents an intermediate-level creek clean-up ride. Experience firsthand the dedication of the San José Conservation Corps members as they maintain our trail system throughout San José. Discover more about the upcoming trail hotline, a service in development that allows immediate reporting of trail hazards or conditions. Let's come together to appreciate the importance of trail maintenance! To participate, meet at 2650 Senter Road at 8:30 AM to load up trailers with trail maintenance gear. Learn about SJCC's Trail Work and check out the site access map for directions. The ride will take us from 2650 Senter Rd to the Guadalupe River Trail, navigating busy urban streets with bike lanes. Stay visible and protected by wearing high visibility colors and a helmet. While on the ride, we will also engage in a litter removal activity, getting a hands-on experience of the Corps members' responsibilities. The route will cover up to 10 miles, featuring both trails and city streets. This ride is suitable for intermediate-level cyclists. If you are interested in volunteering as a Ride Leader, sign up when you get your ticket. As a Volunteer Ride Leader, you'll receive a vest and be trained in Ride Leadership to provide middle support or sweep during the ride. Volunteer Ride Leaders must arrive by 8:15 AM.
