Celebrate the Christmas season in style this December with classic festive pieces by Debussy, Liszt, Tchaikovsky alongside Howard Blake's uplifting film music from the award-winning animation film 'The Snowman' alongside jazz improv upon favourite Christmas carols – performed by atmospheric candlelight in our special candlelit chapel. Edinburgh’s Hogmanay returns for New Year’s Day on 29 December 2024, welcoming the world to party in 2025 in the ‘Home of Hogmanay’! Join revellers from around the world for four days of amazing events! The celebrations will kick off with a torchlit procession that will create a river of fire through the historic Old Town on December 29th. The Night Afore, Hot Dub Time Machine will host a disco party in the West Princes Street Gardens, while the Assembly Rooms will host an indie rock music night starring acclaimed Idlewild and special guests.
