The Jacob Jayasena trio returns to Foundry616, embarking on a musical odyssey that traverses continents and cultures. Originally from Solo, Indonesia, Jacob made a name for himself in his home country, including a notable performance at the International Ubud Village Jazz Festival in 2019, before relocating to Sydney in 2020. Under the guidance of esteemed jazz pianists such as Indra Lesmana, Judy Bailey, Kevin Hunt, and Steve Barry, Jacob honed his skills and developed a unique and authentic style. Jacob now studies at the esteemed Sydney Conservatorium of Music on scholarship. Bearing a legacy of classical training, Keala's musical journey began in her hometown of Sydney, Australia, at the Conservatorium High School. There, she delved into double bass, piano, composition, and voice before focusing on developing as a singer-songwriter. Vocally, she is equally at home performing jazz standards with a band, as a solo acoustic singer-songwriter, or on the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall stage performing classical works. Justin Hamilton is kicking off 2025 with a bang recording two stand-up shows at the Rhino Room just in time to help celebrate Adelaide Comedy's 25th anniversary. First up will be his award-winning show “Little Victories” that was described by the Barefoot Review as “…a cyclone of beautifully crafted, hysterically funny anecdotes and observations…” Then in the second half Hammo will perform “Stuff and Nonsense”, a collection of stories cultivated from his 30-year career ranging from his comedy duo The Bunta Boys in the 90s, his heyday of being a part of the Melbourne Comedy scene, and his life now in Sydney.
