Two in five male deaths occur prematurely before the age of 75. This amounts to 37,000 Australian men dying too young every year and countless others deeply affected by the ripple effects of these tragedies. Many of these deaths are preventable and often result from issues including suicide, alcohol and drug misuse. Compounding these health challenges, societal expectations that men should remain stoic, independent and invulnerable prevent them from seeking help or confiding in loved ones for support. This November, Friday Run Club is excited to host a re than a run event at Barton Milk Bar raising awareness and funds to improve men's health. Event Details: Date and Location: Join us at Barton Milk Bar in Hawthorn for a 6am start. 6am START: You can choose to run 7kms or walk 5kms. Go at your own pace and participate in whatever way feels best for you on the day. 7am MEDITATION: The run or walk will be followed by a short stretch and breathwork session led by Pilates and yoga instructor, Lou Macrae. 7:15am COFFEE AND PANEL: We will then head to Barton for a coffee and panel chat (follow @fridayrunclub_ on Instagram for a sneak peak on the panel lineup).
