EN: How can one describe Marina Koldobskaya's works? At first glance, they seem simple — a sheet densely filled but without fear of empty spaces, a palette limited to 2-3 colors, with precision and conciseness in the imagery. This last quality is immediately apparent to the eye. Then you think that this semi-painting, semi-graphic art is akin to petroglyphs, drolleries (marginal drawings), and calligraphy. Just like the deer in petroglyphs, the depicted bull is simultaneously a living animal, a meat carcass, a symbol, and a sacrifice. In the library, a cat caught a mouse and looks at the scribe, as if to say, 'I’ll have my meal now, and you sit there tied to your work'—and the scribe, to stave off sleep, sketches a cat with a mouse in its teeth in the margins of the manuscript. A broad, calligraphically precise brushstroke. The rhythms of ornamental printed fabrics, the animal style, the 'tormenting predators' come to mind. The anatomy of Marina's paintings and sheets is akin to the anatomy of a logo mark, where everything unnecessary is excluded, everything protruding is generalized, and the image becomes as perfect as a stone polished by the sea. Then you forget all this nonsense and just look carefully. Auf den ersten Blick wirken sie einfach — ein dicht gefülltes Blatt, jedoch ohne Angst vor Leerräumen, eine Palette, die auf 2-3 Farben beschränkt ist, mit Präzision und Knappheit in den Darstellungen. Diese letzte Eigenschaft fällt dem Auge sofort auf. Dann denkt man, dass diese Halb-Malerei, Halb-Grafik den Petroglyphen, Marginalzeichnungen (drollerie) und der Kalligrafie ähnelt. Ähnlich wie die Hirsche in den Petroglyphen ist der dargestellte Stier gleichzeitig ein lebendiges Tier, ein Fleischkadaver, ein Symbol und ein Opfer. In der Bibliothek fängt eine Katze eine Maus und schaut den Schreiber an, als wollte sie sagen: 'Ich werde jetzt essen, und du sitzt hier festgebunden'—und der Schreiber, um den Schlaf zu vertreiben, zeichnet eine Katze mit einer Maus im Maul in den Rand der Handschrift. Ein breiter, kalligrafisch präziser Pinselstrich. Man erinnert sich an die Rhythmen von ornamentalen Druckstoffen, den Tierstil, die 'quälenden Raubtiere'. Die Anatomie von Marinas Bildern und Blättern ähnelt der Anatomie eines Logos, bei dem alles Überflüssige ausgeschlossen wird, alles Hervorstehende verallgemeinert wird, und das Bild so perfekt wie ein vom Meer geglätteter Stein wird. Dann vergisst man all diesen Unsinn und schaut einfach aufmerksam hin. Modell* Zeichnen, *mitohne Schlüppi - Life Drawing Workshop In unserem Workshop laden wir Menschen mit und ohne Erfahrung zum Zeichnen und Malen von Modellen ein. Kommt und zeichnet mit uns in entspannter Atmosphäre! In diesem Workshop möchten wir euch zu einem spielerischen, unterhaltsamen Zeichenprozess führen. Der Workshop wird angeleitet durch Anne, die Euch mit anatomischem Wissen und künstlerischem Gespür begleitet. Beim Zeichnen wollen wir den Druck ergebnisorientierter Prozesse hinter uns lassen und gemeinsam kreativ werden. Es werden experimentelle und klassische Ansätze, Werkzeuge und Methoden des Aktzeichnens vorgestellt (Arbeiten mit Schatten, Messen von Proportionen, Verwendung von diversen Materialien, etc.) In diesem Workshop werden je Termin zwei Modelle posieren, die kurze und lange Posen anbieten. Unsere Modelle können abhängig von persönlicher Stimmung entscheiden, wie nackt sie sein werden (mitohne Schlüppi ;). Es ist uns sehr wichtig für alle Teilnehmenden und Modelle einen Safe Space zu schaffen. Alle Körper, Geschlechter und Religionen sind willkommen. Wir, der Dreiwerkraum, sind ein bunter Space für kreative Gestaltungsarbeiten, solidarische Konzepte und solides Handwerk. David ist Mitte vierzig, ein Schriftsteller aus Berlin, aufgewachsen am Rhein. Die beiden spazieren durch Istanbul, reisen quer durch Anatolien, an die lykische Küste, zum Vansee nahe der iranischen Grenze. Verkin erzählt von ihrer Kindheit am Bosporus, von ihren Großmüttern, die 1915 den Genozid überlebten. Vom Vater, der den größten Elektrokonzern der Türkei aufbaute. Ecstatic Dance w/ Elias Doré l Cacao, Meditation, Singing Come and join us for a magical evening of dance, music and connection at evolve & Green Yoga's new home at SEZ-Berlin. You're invited to move and flow, scream and dance out everything that wants to be released from your body, landing gently afterwards into a closing circle of musical softness with communal singing. What to expect In the beginning of the evening, a ceremony of Ritual Cacao will be held by Theresa from the evolve family, to support and facilitate the journey inwards, providing inspiration and energy. For the movement part, Elias Doré will guide a little warmup of connection, playfulness and relating through movement, before providing a multi-faceted sonical wave to lead the dancers through a journey of joy, depth and ecstasy for a total of 2 hours. The space of SEZ has a large dance floor with plenty of space for all movements with windows on all sides and in the roof, so you can dance barefoot if you wish. The evening will end with a closing ceremony through singing. Amanda Encantada will hold a singing circle after the dance to allow expression and integration through chanting together, creating space for integration of the experiences and sensations that were felt throughout the session. Begin the day with Forecast Condensed: Coding the Human — We have Become Tools in the Hands of our Tools, where trailblazing practitioners will have the opportunity to pitch art science projects to established creative mentors for feedback and development support. We are inviting interdisciplinary practitioners who are interested in pitching to the esteemed panel, to submit an expression of interest to the Call for Participation from 26 Sep - 13 Oct. Following a networking lunch, you are then invited to join the afternoon conference session Exploring New Opportunities for Art, Science, and Technology Collaborations to investigate new opportunities for art, science, and technology collaborations. A series of talks will explore frameworks to integrate art and creativity with scientific research and technological development, with speakers from the S+T+ARTS initiative of the European Commission, the KIC EIT Culture and Creativity projects, the Ars Electronica Festival and beyond. By bringing together cultural leaders and innovators from the tech and industrial spheres, the session aims to spark new ideas and create partnerships that can transform these fields. To round off the day, we invite you to grab a drink and enjoy an eclectic programme of live workshops and talks that embody the synergy between science and art. These events are an opportunity to take inspiration, discover innovative practitioners and experience ambitious, interdisciplinary approaches to collaboration.
