Atsuta Jingu is located in the lush Atsuta Forest in the southern part of Nagoya. Since ancient times, Atsuta Jingu has been affectionately called "Mr. Atsuta" by people. Every year, about 7 million tourists come to worship, making it very lively. As a "spiritual home", Atsuta Jingu not only attracts the citizens of Nagoya, but also attracts infinite admiration and faith from people all over the country. The Kusanagi sword, one of the three sacred treasures, is enshrined in the shrine. Since ancient times, it has been revered by the court and military commanders. It is the second most important shrine after Ise Jingu. The shrine was originally built in the Owari style, and was rebuilt in the Shinmei style in 1893 (Meiji 26). This is the most important and grand festival of Atsuta Jingu, and the emperor's envoys will attend. The shrine offers martial arts and performing arts that are not usually seen. In the evening, Jingu Park will light up the grass lanterns and launch about 1,000 fireworks. This is a festival that is loved by locals to herald the arrival of summer.
