Stephen Murphy is a poet of the oral narrative tradition. His work mixes the old and the new, weaving from ancient mythologies through a current lens to social commentary through a unique blend of wit, warmth and humour. He's been described by President Michael D Higgins as A splendid, wonderful, courageous young poet on the stage of the Abbey Theatre and called The highlight of a previous Electric Picnic by The Irish Times. Millions of people have watched videos of his poetry online and he's performed to hundreds of thousands more in the flesh, though he lives a very quiet life on a sheep farm in the heart of Kerry. Kate McDonald is a folk musician and hails from County Down. She currently lives in County Kilkenny where she writes and performs.

This is a unique GAA camp that focuses on coaching GAA skills in hurling and gaelic football, nutrition tips, fundamental movements and age appropriate resistance exercises. Once registered, you will recieve an email prior to the camp with a link to a registration form for childs specific details. This camp is fully inclusive and open to children with additional needs. Based in Santa Ana, California, the Mater Dei High School Choral and Vocal Program serves a diverse Southern California community. With 11 ensembles and nearly 300 singers participating in athletics, ASB, the arts, campus ministry, and more, the program consistently excels, earning superior ratings at competitions and festivals nationwide. Notably, they recently performed solo concerts at Carnegie Hall and renowned venues in Italy. Graduates of the program thrive in artistic careers ranging from the Metropolitan Opera to Broadway, upholding the legacy of excellence cultivated at Mater Dei. Additionally, the program prioritizes nurturing the spiritual and emotional growth of every singer, reflecting Mater Dei’s core values.
Mater Dei Choir consistently excels, earning superior ratings at competitions and festivals nationwide while performing locally and abroad. Our student artists have participated in and sang at mass in St. Peter’s, St. Mark’s and La Sagrada Familia. Mater Dei choirs have performed concerts in some of the world’s greatest venues including the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi in Italy, the Chiesa di San Trovaso in Venice, the Chiesa Santa Trinita in Florence, and in Rome the Chiesa Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, the Basilica Papale di San Pietro, and the Sistine Chapel. Notably, they performed at the 2023 CASMEC Conference and recently performed a solo concert at Carnegie Hall. In April 2024, Mater Dei Choir will return to New York City to give a solo concert at Lincoln Center in the David Geffen Concert Hall. Graduates of the program thrive in artistic careers ranging from the Metropolitan Opera to Broadway, upholding the legacy of excellence cultivated at Mater Dei. Dr. Jodi Reed and her husband are the parents of six children. She has been the Director of Mater Dei Choral and Vocal Music since 2019. A conductor, pianist, and vocalist, Dr. Reed began her musical career studying piano competitively and has maintained a lifelong passion for choral music since high school, leading university, school, church, and community choirs.Early in her career, she made history as the first female conductor to win first place multiple times at a prestigious California choral competition. Her choirs have performed on National Public Radio’s From the Top, as well as the 2018 ACDA Western Region Conference, the 2018 California All-State Music Educators Conference, the 2023 CASMEC Conference, the 2024 ACDA Western Region Conference, and in renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall, St. Patrick’s Cathedral and St. John’s Basilica in New York City, and Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Concert Hall in 2024. Airneán, a male vocal ensemble have been garnering much attention with their positive sounds since forming as a group last year . Airneán, a lower voice Irish folk group set up at the beginning of last year, consists of current and past members of Maynooth University Chamber Choir. The group performs a range of repertoire and has a particular focus on the preservation and reimagining of old Irish folk songs.
Many of the songs are arranged by the members themselves.They have previously performed a sold out concert in St Canice’s RC church in Kilkenny with additional performances in Mullingar
Cathedral and the Swift Cultural Centre in Trim. Last year they also released their first EP titled
“Mind the Step”, consisting of 5 pieces performed at their Kilkenny concert. The group is under the direction of Joe Leydon and Jack Cunnane.

Following last year's successful run of The Trials, Barnstorm Youth Theatre is bringing its annual production, The House of Oedipus, to the stage this year. If a person commits a crime but does not know it is a crime, are they guilty?
In this epic Greek tragedy Barnstorm Youth Theatre take on the world of gods and men.
The House of Oedipusfeatures a cast of young people who present the story of Oedipus, a man who kills his father and marries his mother, with dire consequences. Are pride and stubbornness the cause Oedipus’ downfall or did he commit some unknown sin against the Gods? He committed a crime but did not know it was a crime, was he guilty? Four Greek tragedies together, this full-length play brings us three generations, two countries, five kings, two plagues and one war.
Performances on the 25 & 26 April 2025 in the Barnstorm Studio at 3 John's Quay in Kilkenny. The play contains mature themes which may not be suitable for people under 8 - parental guidance advised.

In this never-before-seen one man showcase, Cal will be playing some of his well known classics, stripped back to the man and his guitar, and will also be gracing the audience with some experimental hiphop music he has made in the past year using his voice, his instruments and electronic music media.
