Nightshades w/ Windmills // Kelowna, BC | Jackknife Brewing
Jul 27, 2025 (UTC-7)
Kelowna
Presented by Ollie North Productions
Nightshades’ second full-length album, ‘Inside Joke’ represents a natural and dramatic evolution for British Columbia’s genre-defying “super-group”. Following last year’s shimmering debut album ‘Reducer’, the four-piece (Andrew Judah, Common Fires, DL Ranney, N. Sherman) pivot into multi-pronged musical exploration: pairing patented instrumental intricacy and harmony with an increased sense of urgency and deeply expressive groove. From the post-punk, barn-burning intensity of ‘Kill the Gods’, ‘Echosound’, and ‘Animal’, to the needle-drop snappiness of ‘Orpheus’, ‘Apology’, and ‘See That Bear’, ‘Inside Joke’ contorts itself into diverse shapes with impossible fluidity and confidence.
With ‘Inside Joke’, nightshades celebrates two and a half years together. Despite their discography now showcasing 37 total songs, to use the word “prolific” would do the instrument-swapping quartet a disservice: ‘Inside Joke’ is not just the latest storied chapter in nightshades’ short history—it is Canada’s most-undefineable band moving forward beyond self-discovery and stepping into true creative actualization.
‘Inside Joke’—performed by nightshades, and produced by Andrew Judah—is out July 9th, 2025.
Ollie North Productions aims to create a safe event for ALL.

A Guided Hike + Vineyard-Top Yoga + Private Tasting in a 100-Year-Old Orchard
Step out of the ordinary and into something truly special — a morning of mindful movement, breathtaking views, and meaningful connection in one of the Okanagan Valley’s most magical settings.
We’ll begin with a gentle 10–15 minute guided hike through lush vineyard rows, the golden morning light spilling across the landscape as we make our way to a hilltop lookout. At the summit, you'll be greeted by sweeping panoramic views of the valley below — the perfect place to pause, breathe, and drop into the present.
Together, we’ll flow through an energizing, all-levels Vinyasa yoga class designed to awaken the body, open the heart, and connect you with the land beneath your feet. Surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature, this is yoga in its purest, most grounding form.
After a restful savasana under open skies, we’ll slowly make our way back down to the orchard, where a beautiful private wine and cider tasting awaits. Set among the gnarled branches of a century-old apple orchard, you’ll sample a curated selection of handcrafted wines and ciders made on-site — each sip a reflection of the land’s rich history and vibrant energy.
Enjoy time to relax, wander, chat with new friends, or simply take it all in. Whether you're here to move, to sip, or just to breathe it all in — this is your time.

Description:
Join Clair Jantzen for this 3-day intensive workshop geared towards those with an interest in being equipped to lead support groups focused on grief and loss.
Participants will experience what it's like to be involved with others who are navigating loss. It is an intensely personal journey as we learn to open ourselves up to the losses of our own lives, share them with others and receive the content of their experiences, too. The facilitator will model the leadership role, leading the participants on the journey of grief exploration. At the end of the workshop, you will have a duplicatable program which you can implement in your own sphere of service. The workshop employs small and large group sessions along with personal time and working lunches.
You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own beverages and food to stay refreshed throughout the event. Water, coffee, and tea will be available throughout the day all three days. Refreshments and lunch will be provided on the first day. You are welcome to bring your own lunch or to access the surrounding restaurants on days two and three.

MUSIC FOR THE MIGHTY
Get ready to groove once again at the second annual
Music for the Mighty
fundraiser. Join us at
Revelry Food+Music Hub
for a night filled with incredible tunes and good vibes. This in-person event will feature Gun Shy and talented musicians from various genres that will be night to remember as we join in community to raise funds for the BC Children's Hospital Foudnation.
Music for the Mighty
is more than a night of music, it’s an Okanagan fundraiser that brings our community together to support families from next door and across the region who rely on BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
When a child is seriously ill, parents are often forced to travel hours to Vancouver just to get them the care they need. The Social Work Fund steps in when costs start to pile up, covering things like travel, meals, counselling, and other essentials many families can’t afford on their own.
This event is about showing up for those families - our neighbours, friends, coworkers - and making sure no child goes without care because of distance or dollars.
Live Music Lineup
● Gun Shy is back - featuring:
~David Pfuetzner & Jordan Hansum (Align West Homes)
~Grant Petkau (Kelbrook Construction)
~Jarrett Boyetchko (Ace Project Marketing Group)

Family Should Never Face A Crisis Alone
Every year, over
4,800 families from the Okanagan
head to BC Children’s Hospital for specialized care they can’t get here.
Last year, we raised over $58,000.
This year, our goal is $75,000, and your ticket purchase helps us get there. Whether you're from Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, or anywhere in between, this event is about
our
community standing up for
our
families.
This is about C
ommunity, Connection, Compassion. This is Music for the Mighty.
Let’s pack Revelry, raise a glass, and make a real difference together.
