Apr 26, 2025 (UTC+0)ENDED
Hampton
Practice can be a powerful thing. It drives creative expression. It can feel distant and undefinable. Kate and their partner in practice, Sally will share what they have learned about life in the generative. They will explain how everyone, even with no training, can build a framework to support the urge and impulse to make and use inspiration and reference to find the individual generative which leads to the new. In this workshop we will ask the questions: What is it to BE an artist? What IS practice?Considering WHY and HOW we make and looking at the steps that can be taken to build and expand an individual sustainable practice. Our workshops are appropriate for artists at any stage of their development, (you don’t need to be formally trained), but involve a rigorous, transparent, honest conversation about life in the generative. We are here to help you build (or re-examine and re-build) a supportive framework for your creative practice.
Open to artists, musicians, writers, all who have or want to further their relationship to creative and acrobatic thinking. Every session is bespoke to the artists who join us, so if you’ve come to a previous session, keep coming back and the conversation will evolve with you.
