Join us for another workshop with artist Larkin Ford. You’ll create abstracted landscapes using ink pens, then acrylic paint starting with blind contour drawings of crumpled aluminum foil, scribbling descriptions of their crinkled edges with ink pen, without looking at the paper. We'll look for horizons, skies, caves, boulders, and plant growth in the abstract mark-making, much like looking for images in clouds or ink blots. We will then choose a few colors of acrylic paint and develop our pen drawings into strange imaginary worlds with light and shadow, atmosphere and depth. Everyone's scribbling and painting instincts are different, so everyone will create a unique alien landscape!
