Ravilious is a famous artist who is known for his paintings & prints of the Sussex countryside. What we'll be doing: We’ll be going over basic watercolour skillssuch as paint consistency, brush strokes, colour mixing, layering and more. We'll learn specific skills that Ravilious uses in his paintings to create depth & mood. We will be working from books & reference images, as well as learning how to create our own compositions. There are so many different ways it can be used, so many effects that you can create with different levels of water, pigment, paper weights and brushes. This one-day course is perfect for beginners who are interested in exploring the craft of upholstery. Emily combines modern and traditional techniques to teach you how to build a seat from the frame upwards. By the end of the day, you will have a finished piece to take home with you. The course covers the basics of modern upholstery, including the use of tools, webbing, hessian, foam, and fabric application. Most materials and tools will be provided, but please bring a 1m x 1m piece of fabric for the top cover. You can choose to bring your own dining chair or purchase a footstool frame from the tutor.
