Join the Wake County Historical Society for our Annual Business Meeting and Program on Monday, 2 June 2025 at 7.00 PM, in the classroom at the Mordecai Park Visitors Center, 1101 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Ashley will be presenting on the WPA Slave Narrative program from the 1930s and how she and a team of journalists at WRAL used Ancestry.com, public records, and modern people-finding tools to connect with descendants in Wake County and brought them stories and information about their ancestors, some of which had not been shared before.
