Her life and work are informed by the Three Principles. Her understanding of health, disease, cure and healing are founded in these principles as well as those of Homeopathy, Reiki, energy healing, shamanism and Zen Buddhism.
She practices from the belief that we are already whole and that healing happens when we tune into that wholeness, the well of wisdom that we all hold within. She believes that her role is to facilitate that journey in a sacred space where you feel supported, held and heard.

Wild Play Day (for 8-12 yrs) | TCV Skelton Grange Environment Centre,
May 27, 2025 (UTC+1)
Leeds
Set up camp for a day of wildness in the woods at TCV Skelton Grange...
Activities will vary from session to session depending on the season and the group - but past Wild Play days have included:
Wide games, shelter building, fire lighting, campfire cooking, field games, hammock hanging, wild food walks, woodwork crafts, string making, bows and arrows, stalking and tracking, pyro-carving and charcoal making.
The cost per child is £33 (+ Eventbrite booking fee) and includes a day of outdoor games and bushcraft activities led by experienced leaders.
Sessions run from 10am - 4pm.
Please bring a packed lunch for the day.
Please be aware that there is currently a security cabin and gate about halfway along Skelton Grange Road. This is for the construction site next door to the Environment Centre.
If you travel by car they will probably note the vehicle registration, ask for the driver’s name and where you are going (tell them TCV). It is simply to keep track of traffic entering and leaving. If you are walking down you can go straight past. Essentially, don’t be worried when you see it, you are going to the right place!
"The kids really enjoy their days - it is great for them to have a whole day outdoors learning new skills."
"It is a wonderful opportunity to try new activities in a supportive and stimulating environment. 'J' found the adults inspiring, and can't wait to come back!"
If you have any questions, compliments or complaints,
contact the Skelton Grange Team on 0113 2430815 or skelton@tcv.org.uk.
If the date you want to book onto is 'SOLD OUT' then please contact us - if there are enough requests we will endeavour to arrange another session during the same holiday period.
All proceeds support the charitable work of The Conservation Volunteers at Skelton Grange Environment Centre.
FAQs
Are there minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Your child must be between the ages of 8-12 years due to legal requirements regarding supervision.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
We have plenty of free parking and disabled parking available at the front of the centre.
Should my child bring their phone?
Wild play days are a chance to get away from screens for a day and enjoy being together outside without distractions. We would advise children not to bring a phone, but if they do we ask them to keep it in their bag during the day.
My child has additional needs - can they still come?
We will do everything that we can to support your child to be able to take part in our events although this will depend on what support needs your child has. We ask that you fully fill in the booking form so that we know how best to support your child and we may get in touch with you to find out more information.
If you have any concerns, please contact our disability champion Chris Ensor (0113 2430815, c.ensor@tcv.org.uk) to discuss how we can best support your child.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. But please be ready to tell us who will be collecting your child at the end of the day.
When is the collection time?
4 pm.

The Neuroscience of Art | The Wardrobe
May 27, 2025 (UTC+1)
Leeds
Have you ever marveled at how a simple image on paper or canvas can stir your deepest emotions—making you smile, bringing tears to your eyes, or transporting you to another world? How a single image can awaken long-forgotten memories? And why humans have been creating art for tens of thousands of years, from the cave paintings of Chauvet and Altamira to the masterpieces of today?
In this talk, we’ll explore the fascinating world of the neuroscience of art—unpacking what happens in our brains when we engage with paintings, photographs, and sculptures. Together, we’ll delve into how visual processing works—examining colour, motion, and eye movements—as well as the powerful interplay between emotions, perception, and mental imagery. We’ll also dive into optical illusions, light adaptation, and even engage in a bit of doodling.
Join us as we unravel the mysteries of how art moves us, shapes us, and connects us—not just to the world around us, but to the deepest parts of ourselves.

An Evening with Hazel McBride in Leeds! | Waterstones Leeds
May 28, 2025 (UTC+1)
Leeds
We've delighted to have Hazel McBride, author of the highly-anticipated romantasy,
A Fate Forged in Fire
, joining us for an event on the 28th of May at 7pm!
How much is she willing to sacrifice to claim her throne?
A powerfully blessed blacksmith must use her wits and fire magic to overthrow the corrupt powers ruling the kingdom, while also fighting her desire for a certain dragon-riding adversary in this sizzling Celtic-inspired romantasy, perfect for fans of House of the Dragon and Fourth Wing.
Once a territory built on matriarchal rule, Tìr Teine has been without a female heir for centuries. Through a long line of corrupt kings, an oppressive anti-magic teaching has infected the land - leading to the tragic decline of the dragons.
Aemyra was born to lead, gifted with fire magic from the Goddess Brigid. For years she has hidden in the shadows, waiting for the king to die so she can bond to his dragon, claim her birthright and protect her people.
When her carefully laid plans are foiled, Aemyra is thrust into a deadly game of politics and plots. Her greatest enemy? Prince Fiorean - the dragon-riding, fire-wielding royal whose icy arrogance and raw power thwart her every step. But as chaos engulfs the court, Aemyra and Prince Fiorean are forced to forge an uneasy alliance to survive. And in the heat of battle, their mutual hatred ignites something neither of them can control.
Behind enemy lines and slowly falling for the only man that stands between her and the throne, Aemyra begins to uncover the true weight of the crown. Will she ignite the flames of change for her people - or will love burn her alive?

How Speed Dating Works in Leeds
When you arrive at the Leeds venue you will be greeted by our friendly professional hosts. Once everyone has arrived and registered we will briefly explain the format of the evening. The ladies will then be asked to make their way to their allocated table. Once the ladies are seated the gentlemen will be asked to proceed to their first date.
You will have 4 minutes to chat to each date, once the 4 minutes is over we will ring a bell to indicate the time is up and for the gentlemen to move to their next date. Four minutes is long enough to see if you click with the person you are talking to and whether you would like to see them again and also short enough if you don't.
At the end of each date you have a brief few moments to make some notes on the person you have just dated. This is something to help jog your memory for the post event matching process the next day.
Half way through the event you will have an interval break so you can nip to the toilet or top up your drink. Once all the dates are over you have the opportunity to stay on at the venue to mingle freely with others. Please remember to take your dating card home with you to assist you in entering in your ticks and potential matches.
Post Event
No later than 11am the following morning our matching system will be unlocked for you to enter your ticks from the previous evening. You have all day to tick as many people as you like from the night before. We guarantee you will find someone you will want to see again, otherwise we will give you your next

Topics covered are conveyed in a comprehensive (practically supported way) in a total of
48 chapters
. Covering all the major sound healing tools families: Tuning Forks, Himalayan singing bowls, Crystal singing bowls, Gongs and other sound therapy tools... participants will have a chance to experience many tools and protocols.
At the end of the training you’ll receive a color-printed workbook for each level and an internationally accredited certificate of completion. There will be a lot of practical exercises: each participant will have the option to be a "giver" and "receiver" thus resulting in a better understanding of the subject and confidence to start facilitating sessions immediately.
The training is accredited by an internationally renowned and well-respected organization of holistic medicine

ABOUT THE TEACHER - Marko Zigon
Marko Zigon has been connected to Sound since 1993. Trained in classical music (Trombone & Percussion) in 1997 he formed a band and performed more than 500 live shows - recording 2 studio albums.
Bachelor in acoustics since 2006 (Seaport noise reduction case study) he parallelly graduated at the Australian School for Audio Engineering (SAE Institute) the same year. It was around that time, he experienced Sound Therapy for the first time and immediately sensed a deep connection to it.
While working for almost 9 years as producer/musician/sound engineer in a professional studio facility he built in 2007, he deepened his relationship with silence as part of music reproduction as well as the importance of bringing silence into everyday life.
In 2009 he won the 3rd prize in a tech start-up contest pitching the “audio de-compression algorithm” project. In the next years he was developing a new design of sustainable Omnidirectional sound sculptures “Evoluta” made of steel pipes and 3D printed vinyl.
After completing more than 15 international trainings and personal tuitions by leading experts in the field: In Germany, UK, Japan, USA, Italy, Russia, France, Poland, and Nepal he developed a proper frequency assessment test in order to deliver optimal results while empowering individuals through sound.
Keeping a file with more than 950 individual sound therapy sessions, while hosting more than 360 group meditations around the globe, he personally experienced a variety of marginal treatments: from shamans in Mongolia to neuro-scientists in California and a lot in between.
Relentlessly evolving and focusing on delivering the best experience Marko has gathered so far an impressive collection of sonic tools (which include more than 140 singing bowls, 160+ tuning forks and 15 different gongs) among many other rare instruments he is sharing the passion during his regularly 60+ international trainings held in: UAE, Germany, Italy, Nepal, Bahrain, England, USA, Hong Kong and Japan. For the last 4 years he has been constantly running Sound Therapy Trainings Level 1,2 & 3.
Some references and key competences related to his practice and sound trainings:
Gongs: Certified GM training with the Grand gong master Don Conreaux (USA). Integral Gong training - cosmic gong techniques with gong scientist Jens Zygar (Germany). Gong making (hand-hammering) masterclass with sound metalsmith Ton Akkermans (Netherlands).
Singing bowls: Peter Hess sound massage training level 1-4 (personally with Peter Hess at PHI headquarter in Germany). Sound training in Nepal at the Himalayan Singing Bowl Center with “Kansa” dynasty successors (Kathmandu). Private lessons with singing bowl expert Frank Perry at his home in the UK.
Tuning forks: Private lectures with frequency mathematician Randy Masters (Santa Cruz - California), Human Tuning TF training with Dr. John Beaulieu (New York). Planetary frequency consultations with the father of planetary wavelengths - Hans Cousto (Germany).
Apart from everything related to sound his hobbies include: photography, art, reading, traveling and studying “Presence”…
In 2020 he directed “Tapu Himene” - Silence is the end game, which was awarded 1st prize for best Inspirational short movie at Florence 2020 international film awards.

If for any reason a student needs to withdraw from the training, any monies held by Sonic Temple on behalf of that student will be held as a Non-Refundable Program/Services/Goods CREDIT ONLY!
This money can be applied towards any future training, converted into private 1 on 1 sound therapy sessions, group sound meditations in some cases even sound-healing tools exchange is possible, all within 1 year from the attempt of withdrawal from the program requesting the refund.
