„Wenn Wände sprechen“ ist ein performativer Audiowalk durch ein Leipziger Haus, die Leibnizstraße 24. Eine Komposition aus Sprache, Klang und Bewegungsanweisungen, die es dem Publikum ermöglicht, sich mithilfe einer Karte frei durch das Haus und den Hof zu bewegen. Dabei wird die Leibnizstraße 24 als ein Ort jüdischen Lebens in Leipzig zwischen 1919 und 1934 erfahrbar, als Wohn- und Bethaus des chassidischen Rabbiners Israel Friedmann. Gleichzeitig thematisiert „Wenn Wände sprechen“ aber auch aus einer persönlichen Perspektive den Umgang mit Brüchen und Kontinuitäten innerhalb der Geschichte des Hauses: 1935 erwarb Hermann Heisigs Urgroßvater Hermann Straube das Haus als Firmensitz für seine Lotterieeinnahme, weshalb es 2023, zwei Generationen später, Hermann Heisig erbte. Anhand des konkreten Beispiels der Leibnizstraße 24 stellt sich die Frage: Wie umgehen mit der Geschichte und ihren Brüchen, wie die eigene Rolle darin reflektieren? Dauer: ca. 90 min Startpunkt: Bürgerverein Waldstraßenviertel, Hinrichsenstraße 10, 04105 Leipzig Bitte ein aufgeladenes Smartphone mit Internetzugang und Kopfhörer mitbringen.
