The artists, Morgan Barnard and Mira Burack, will discuss their immersive installations, Reflection Point and Sacred Bouquet, respectively. Reflection Point, created by Morgan Barnard, is an immersive light installation that incorporates real-time weather data and generative animation. The piece will be on display at the Window Box gallery and features a sculptural reflective cloud form that projects a generative data driven animation onto its exterior. On the longest night of the year, the mechanical aperture within the installation will be open for the longest duration, creating a captivating display of color, light, and movement. Mira Burack's Sacred Bouquet is a four-channel video installation and sound bath that captures a communal ceremony in the foothills of the Ortiz mountains in Cerrillos, New Mexico. The ceremony, a contemporary interpretation of the Jewish tradition on the holiday of Sukkot, honors the high desert plants and the people who sustain us through challenging times.
