Summer Academy 2024 Topgolf Spring offers an exciting five-day program in Spring, Texas, packed with golf, entertainment, and learning that kids aged 6-12 will enjoy. From perfecting their chipping, putting, and full swing techniques to understanding the rules and etiquette of the game, children will immerse themselves in all aspects of golf. With a low student-to-instructor ratio, each Junior Golfer receives personalized attention to enhance their skills and develop a winning swing. The weekly schedule from Monday to Friday includes child drop off, engaging Academy sessions, a lunch break, and pick up. Described by World Music Central as “one of the great new voices in Spanish language Latin music,” Amanda Martinez has been embraced by audiences all over the world. Born to a Mexican father and South African Jewish mother, Martinez brings a unique cultural blend to her music. Amanda Martinez is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose music is an original blend of influences from her Mexican and South African roots. Amanda credits her longtime band for being a huge support to her career. “They are world class musicians who I feel lucky to play with. Each one contributes to our overall sound.” Her band features her long time guitarist and now-producer Kevin Laliberté, husband/bassist Drew Birston, and Cuban Canadians Rosendo “Chendy” Leon (percussion), Alexander Brown (trumpet), Osvaldo Rodriguez (violin) and Pablosky Rosales (tres). She often tours with Mexican bassist Paco Luviano. She has released four albums and her latest recording Libre is her most eclectic creation to date. Amanda recently release the album Recuerdo – which can be translated as “I Remember” in English – is Martinez’s response to the recent passing of her father Gustavo, from whom she inherited her love of music and zest for life. Lebanese-born, Sydney-based Fady Kassab is the 2019 winner of Australia’s most prestigious comedy competition, triple j’s RAW Comedy. His show-stopping performance, televised on SBS TV, saw him subsequently flown to that year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe where he was selected to feature in the Best of Edinburgh Showcase Show. Whilst in Edinburgh Fady made the grand finals of the Gilded Balloon’s long-running So you Think You’re Funny? comedy competition, putting Fady in the company of previous finalists including Dylan Moran, Lee Mack, Graham Norton, Hannah Gadsby.
