The Joseph D. Carrier Art Gallery in Toronto is proud to present the 14 Artist Group Exhibition - Youth Truth and Imagination. This highly anticipated event will take place at the Columbus Centre on Lawrence Avenue West in North York, ON, Canada. The exhibition opening, scheduled for February 29, 2024, promises an unforgettable experience from 7pm-9pm. Visitors will be treated to a vibrant display of multimedia art, including projection mapping and virtual reality. The exhibition will run until March 28th, welcoming art enthusiasts from Monday to Friday between 10am – 5pm.
This unique exhibition represents a departure from traditional Italian arts and culture, as it seeks to embrace the rich multicultural tapestry of the community. In an effort to challenge historical imbalances, the spotlight is on female artists, as well as Queer, Black, Asian, Indian, and/or Egyptian narratives. The exhibition is curated by Ignazio Nicastro, an Italian Queer Curator based in Toronto, who brings a distinctive lens that harmonizes with the gallery's commitment to championing Italian arts and culture.
The exhibition proudly features a lineup of exceptional artists, each with a unique voice waiting to be heard. Through mesmerizing works spanning painting, paper cuts, sculpture, and textiles, these artists will invite visitors to explore the boundless depths of creative expression.
