The match kicks off at 7:35 pm. As the official supporters club for Leinster, OLSC is organizing a same-day Aircoach service for fans. Departing from Dublin city at 3:30 pm on Friday afternoon, the buses will travel directly to Galway and park at the nearby Huntsman Inn. After the game, the buses will depart from the same location 40 minutes after the final whistle. Please ensure you are at the Ulster Bank group center on Georges Quay, Dublin 2, at 3:15 pm so that the buses can leave on time. It is essential to bring your ticket with you to gain access to the bus, whether it is a digital or printed version. The Aircoach vehicles we use have WC facilities, but please note that alcohol is not permitted on board. To purchase match tickets, please contact Connacht Rugby directly. We recommend tickets in the Main Terrace or College Road Terrace for the best viewing experience. Artist duo berte & harmey will be presenting a captivating live audio-visual lecture-performance at the Dublin Art Book Fair. Taking place at Temple Bar Gallery + Studios in Dublin, this thought-provoking event will showcase their publication 'BIAŁO_REC' and delve into the intriguing border region of Poland and Belarus.
Using a collection of 48 smartphone images from their research trips to the area, berte & harmey will offer a unique perspective on the charged environment of the Bialowieza forest. This forest serves as both a fragile natural habitat and a hostile militarized space for those on the move. By projecting, scaling, and filtering these images, the artists aim to navigate and reflect upon this border area, which is heavily influenced by international migration and geopolitical issues.
The lecture-performance raises important questions about engaging with the experiences of those on the move and sheds light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis at one of Europe's external borders. It serves as a medium to give voice to the people at the center of these issues and encourages dialogue and a broader form of engagement.
The publications BIAŁO_REC_1 and BIAŁO_REC_2, created in collaboration with artist/publisher Stefan Klein, are limited to 100 copies. Proceeds from the sales of these books and accompanying artwork will be donated to support the work of humanitarian NGOs in the Białowieża area.
berte & harmey, formed by Cliona Harmey and Filip Berte, strive to explore spatial politics, critical geography, historical legacies, and socio-technical systems of exclusion and inclusion. Their work has been showcased at various exhibitions and galleries, including Tulca 2022 and Hugh Lane Gallery. Filip Berte, an architect and visual artist, offers a critical engagement with issues such as migration and borders through his interdisciplinary art practice. Cliona Harmey focuses on the politics of contemporary and historical socio-technical systems, using material exploration and artistic practice to reveal their materiality and logic.
