If your answers are yes, Stewartby Water Sports Club (SWSC) Sailing is inviting you and your family to come and try sailing FOR FREE on the 10th May 2025! Whether you’re completely new to the sport or looking to get back on the water, this is the perfect opportunity to give it a go. “There is lots of fun to be had out on the water this summer and our Discover Sailing event is a great way for people to come a long and literally dip their toes in the water”, commented John Willimason, SWSC Sailing Commodore. “Everyone is invited to come down and have a go and see what SWSC has to offer. Who knows, you might just get hooked!” Starting at 11am, there will be a whole host of activities taking place. Come and see what it's like to be out on the water with one of our experienced sailors, and learn more about our RYA-affiliated Sailing School who offer training courses to get you going. RYA Discover Sailing, is a nationwide event taking place throughout May. Thousands of people will be taking part in the sailing or windsurfing activities at open days and taster sessions taking place at sailing clubs and centres across the country. Sailing can be as physical or as relaxing as you want to make it, you can sail with others or on your own, do it competitively or potter about and just enjoy the gentle escape of being outside in the elements.
