Pat Barrett | Beautiful Life Tour - Langley, BC | Christian Life Assembly
Apr 28, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
Langley
Join Pat Barrett this Spring on the Beautiful Life Tour, taking his new album “Shelter” for several dates around Canada . The Atlanta-based artist expresses overflowing gratitude for the opportunity to invite people into this new worshipful journey. The Beautiful Life Tour finds inspiration in Ecclesiastes, a book exploring the wide spectrum of life in its mundanity, pain, redemption, and holy beauty. It will be a space for honesty, communion, and encouragement as people hold the tension of life before God in worship.
With a full band, Pat Barrett will blend some classics (“Build My Life,” “Good Good Father,” “The Way”) with brand-new songs (“Shelter,” “Praise Him,” “Seen Known Loved”). Also joining Pat will be Aodhán King, founding member of Hillsong Young & Free and writer of some beloved worship anthems over the years such as “Touch of Heaven”, “Whole Heart (Hold Me Now)”, “Sinking Deep” and many more.
Each night promises to be influenced by the people who are there as he shares, “I want to go in with the plan and also have faith to see where it goes.” The Beautiful Life Tour will be a space for celebration and communion; we can’t wait to see you!

Pocket Symphonies (Rose Gellert Hall Series) | Rose Gellert Hall, Langley Community Music School
May 3, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
Langley
The cornerstone classical masterpiece on the program, a ‘pocket’ version of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony by Carl Burchard for one piano 4 hands, violin and cello leaves nothing out in terms of fullness and exuberance. Acclaimed musicians Jasper Wood (violin), Joseph Elworthy (cello) and the Bergmann Piano Duo will also perform the Hebrides Overture by Mendelssohn, a selection of Brahms Hungarian Dances, and additional works that celebrate the splendid and rich combination of strings and piano.
“As an added gift, violinist Jasper Wood played … with a gorgeous sound and brilliant control of his instrument. Wood sounded like an entire violin section unto himself.”
–
Halifax Chronicle Herald
“A cogent vision of each suite impressively expressive yet contained, drawn with surgical precision making [Elworthy's] interpretations an impressive achievement”.
-
Strad Magazine
"[The Bergmann Duo] demonstrated an extraordinary ability to seemlessly blend their playing, much like the Everly Brothers could harmonize two voices, to sound like one rich instrument."
-
Red Deer Advocate

Gathering in community circles is an ancient practice spanning across cultures. Something profound happens when we share our stories in trusted, brave spaces that allow us to learn, grow, heal, and reclaim our truest selves.
At each circle, we will enjoy a light meal together, participate in a sharing circle, and dig deeper into an embodiment practice to connect us back to ourselves, each other, and the earth.

This month we are discussing:
Archetypes - breaking out of societal expectations and reclaiming the true self within.
Come connect, learn, grow, and heal.
**Please bring a small jar or vessel with you. There will be an opportunity to take home a custom salt blend that we will make together.
ABOUT YOUR FACILITATOR:
Tara Teng (she/her) is an Embodiment Coach who works in the intersections of spirituality and sexuality. She helps people find their way back to their bodies, overcome shame, heal trauma and dismantle purity culture in a way that is in alignment with their values and beliefs so that they can build a healthy, sexual ethic and thrive in freedom and wholeness.
Aside from her 1:1 coaching, Tara hosts women’s circles, workshops, online classes and retreats on the topics of embodiment, justice, sexuality, and relationships. Her debut book,
“Your Body is a Revolution: Healing Our Relationships with Our Bodies, Each Other and the Earth
”
