Immerse yourself in the surreal atmosphere as our talented cast performs devised works inspired by Kafka's life, including extracts from his renowned work, 'Betrachtung' (Contemplation). To ensure your comfort, there will be a brief break for hot beverages and biscuits. The session operates on a drop-in basis, allowing you to prebook online or pay by card on the day of the class. For those eager to practice more, there is an additional untutored life drawing session from 1-3pm, available at an extra cost.

Dr Harper's extensive experience and expertise in the field will be showcased as he reflects on exciting developments and shares his findings. As a respected clinical advisor to NICE (the National Institute Health and Care Excellence), Dr Harper's research on patient warming during surgery has contributed to national and international guidelines. Additionally, his work on cold-water adaptation has led him to explore the benefits of outdoor swimming as a means to reduce surgical complications.
Notably, Dr Harper's collaboration with Dr Chris van Tulleken and Professor Mike Tipton's team at the Extreme Environments Lab in Portsmouth resulted in a successful clinical trial using sea swimming as an intervention for anxiety and depression. This groundbreaking study was featured on the BAFTA award-nominated BBC program "The Doctor Who Gave Up Drugs."
Dr Harper's influence extends to public health initiatives, as he presented at the Scottish Parliament on the adoption of outdoor swimming as a preventive measure in March 2023. He is also a member of the All Party Parliamentary Group on outdoor swimming and health at Westminster.
