These lessons are for people who want to learn to ride a bike in a traffic free environment. With all equipment provided, our experienced instructor will guide you step by step, from getting on and off the bike to building up your balance and your confidence. The instructor will work with you to assess your needs and to get you pedalling in a friendly, stress-free manner, at your pace. The lessons are delivered in a traffic-free environment. We learn to ride in Bowling Park in the warmer months and use the sports hall at Parkside Sports Centre in the colder months. You can attend as many as you like, but places are limited usually to 6, so please book. If you decide you can't attend a session you have booked - please cancel it as soon as possible (ideally via Eventbrite - or drop us an e-mail if you can't work out how to do it yourself).

Sketchbook Satchel - the art class that prepares you to travel! Join us at the Banora Point Community Centrefor an exciting art class that will unleash your creativity and get you ready for your next adventure! Located at Banora Point, our in-person event is perfect for art enthusiasts who love to travel. The first hour is spent focusing on a particular drawing skill. Mrs Red, a qualified Art Teacher & Illustrator prints off worksheet for this hour for everyone to follow. Then after a short break, we get into sketchbook drawing from colour printouts that Mrs Red supplies, usually with timed images starting from as quick as 2 minute sketches up to 20 minutes. All you need to start these classes is a sketchbook and drawing pencils. This class is subsidised through Tweed Shire FABS group. FABS stands for Fun Activities for Banora Seniors. However you do not have to be a senior to join this class, nor do you have to live in the area.

Event: WSFA Road to Newtown - RCTSFA Primary 5s Boys Qualifier One 2024/25Sign up now to enter the Rhondda Cynon Taf Primary 5s qualifying event , the first of which will be held in the Cynon area. Four teams from this festival will go on to play in the county festival in April with one then going on to represent the county in the all-Wales competition at Newton on Thursday May 8th. P laces are allocated on a 1st come 1st serve basis, schools must pay entry fees via Eventbrite to secure at a fee of £20 for the season. Fees are used to support the event through equipment and medals / trophies for our final qualifying event. Once the event has closed for bookings, the Association will write to schools to confirm their fixture slots. The rules for all festivals are as follows: Rules of the Competition Maximum of 9 players per squad. Roll on roll off subs at any time. Goalkeeper must roll the ball out – no kicking allowed.

These Learn to Ride sessions are designed to help children aged 5+ (or those who attend full-time school) to learn to ride a pedal bike without stabilisers. Please bring your own bike in roadworthy condition, with stabilisers removed, and a helmet. We are able to offer two sessions per child ONLY so please book onto a maximum of two dates. These sessions are extremely popular and this makes it fair for all. Cost: £10.00 per session - we have had to increase our charges from 1 April 2024 to help cover the cost of the session. (Please note: If you cancel your place at short notice, we may not be able to give you a refund as we still have to pay for our venue and staff costs). If you feel unable to pay this cost for any reason please contact myjourney@wokingham.gov.uk to discuss options with us. We wish to remove barriers to cycling, so whilst we need to cover our costs we don't want this to prohibit anybody from attending.
