Join the Trek Research Saturday Scenic Ride every other Saturday for an Intermediate Level cycling experience. This captivating route will guide participants through the Arboretum, Mesa Dr., Balcones, Scenic Dr., Lake Austin Blvd., Exposition, Bull Creek, Shoal Creek, to Steck, and finally back to Mesa. With an average pace of 13 mph, covering approximately 25 miles, this ride promises to be an exhilarating adventure. While this is a social, no-drop ride, it is not recommended for beginners due to the elevation gain and mileage. Make sure to mark your calendar for this exciting event. The schedule begins promptly at 8:45 AM, where participants will gather to sign waivers and receive a safety briefing. Remember, no waiver, no ride. At 9:00 AM, it's wheels down! Safety is paramount, so helmets are mandatory for all riders. Don't forget to bring a bottle or Camelback for hydration, as well as a flat repair kit in case of emergencies. Please note that aero bars cannot be used during the group ride and earbuds/headphones are not permitted. It is also essential to bring your ID and cash for any post-ride needs at the shop. For participants under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must sign a liability waiver on their behalf. Additionally, they must be accompanied by their parent or guardian on a bicycle for the entire duration of the ride.
