In this exciting session, you will learn how to lower the feed dogs on a sewing machine and 'draw' with thread. You will also choose from lots of fabrics to layer and use the reverse applique method to build colour and pattern into your work. This is a great opportunity for absolute beginners - Holly is an experienced teacher and can show you how even if you haven't sewn before. It is also a great opportunity for more experienced stitchers or artists looking to try something new. We provide all materials and equipment (including sewing machines). To celebrate the restoration and relocation of Harold Gosney's iconic Family Group sculpture, Grimsby, Cleethorpes and District Civic Society invite you to join us for the premiere screening of Harold Gosney the Irresistible Urge to create. No experience is necessary, just bring your own materials and enthusiasm. We will have easels and some materials but if you need something special - best to bring it yourself. This is a great opportunity to practice your drawing skills in a supportive environment facilitated by a fantastic and experienced life model.
