Dance with your Baby - Taster Session in Fife | Torryburn community garden
Apr 28, 2025 (UTC+0)ENDED
Dunfermline
Are you looking for a new activity with your little one (age 3 months upwards)? Join our taster event for a new “Dance with your Baby” class organised by Bo’ness Dance. Get connected with your baby in a very special way and start your journey into Scottish and International Dancing. What do I love the most when my wee daughter is with me at our dance classes? Those cuddles in the carrier are just wonderful, she becomes so relaxed, laying against me and listens my voice from a very different perspective. She just loves the music and the movements. The classes include basic movements of Ceilidh and Scottish Country dances, traditional and more modern ones and even sometimes brand-new dances devised by me. Zsofi (Sophie) leads the classes and there will be recorded music and we will make sure it is not too loud for the little ones. We take photos and videos at our classes for promotional reasons. Please let us know on the day if you and/or your baby don't want to be included in these. Please fill up our Google Form to be sure we know your special needs if there is any: https://forms.gle/bE22Lb5UvPwb9dCq9 The venue is the garden hut at the Torryburn Community Garden just opposite with the Torryburn Primary School. There is free parking on the streets around, but it can be a busy around the school area. The hut is very basic, but a nice wee place, where we could dance around, but only in a limited numbers, so if you miss out please still get in touch with us at boness.dance@gmail.com The class will be on Monday 16:15-16:45. If there is enough interest we may look into opening up more dates and times in different locations, so if this time is not suitable for you still fill the form so we can add you to our email list for future newsletters. There are no obligatory outfits or signing up for blocks. If you are not able to come along to the class, you are welcome to let a friend have your place, so it is not wasted but please let me know who to expect, so we can welcome them. If you have any further questions, message us at boness.dance@gmail.com For the class bring along a baby carrier that you are familiar with and your baby likes sitting in (if you have a toddler prefer to run around it is no problem at all to let them do that), a pair of comfy shoes (trainers are perfect, no high heels please), a friend with another baby, if you like, and your sense of humour to start your journey into the wonderful world of dancing together.
