Poor checkout experience - when I checked out the room, I have left one of the keys in the room. Then the staff at the reception told me to “Go get your key”. I was carrying a lot of luggage and forgot to get the key when I checked out because I was always using one key. I understood he might have a long day, but I would also appreciate more politeness from the staff but not such a cold and rude attitude…overall, the service at this place is so so. The staff at the hotel are not so welcoming. The hotel surrounding area is also very noisy. The restaurants nearby often play live music until midnight 12 AM. There are prayers from the mosque every morning at 6 AM for around 5 minutes. So if you are sensitive to sound and have insomnia problems, I won’t recommend this hotel. For the room, I booked a room with twins beds. But the room is so small that they basically put the two beds together without any space in between. In short, if you have more luggage, the room maybe too small for two people. Having said that this hotel is in a good location, and close to the city centre and near all the key shopping areas and restaurants. Price is also reasonable.

Located in Perai, it takes you around 30mins for going to Penang Island by car/ ferry. Not much to see around the hotel. Luckily, there is the Chai Leng Park food street (5 mins by car) with many delicious local food options. The hotel got all 4-star hotel amenities. However, it’s quite worn out and the cleanliness really need to be improved. A reasonable choice of food for the breakfast buffet. Food is fine. I would choose another hotel if I visit Penang again.

The hotel location is at Lebuh Farquhar, George town Penang & nice spot for tourists to go anywhere. Easy to get grab. Room hotel is clean tidy and comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. No deposit when you check in the hotel. Parking is free provided by the hotel. Easy to get food and beverage by walking distance until 2am.

Location: The hotel is located in a prime area, just a short walk from Penang’s vibrant street art scene, and it’s easy to explore nearby cafes, shops, and cultural sites. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveler to Penang, the location is ideal. Public transport also easy to access since it was near to Komtar Overall: St. Giles Wembley Penang offers fantastic value for money with its top-notch service, modern facilities, and central location. Whether you're in town for business or leisure, this hotel is a solid choice for your stay in Penang.

My family stayed here for our 9th anniversary celebration. Everything was smooth from check in and check out. The staff at the counter was very friendly and helpful. Actually, all of them was very accommodating and helpful. What I love most about this hotel are their hospitality and customer service. They are at top notch! During check in, we were served with some complimentary snacks and drinks. Our room was very clean, with swan towel decorations, a mini anniversary cake, some chocolate and a plate of fruits. We were also gifted with two complimentary drinks at the java lounge specially for our anniversary ❤️ Our kids were very busy playing in the pool, at the beach, and inside the kids room. The hotel is very child friendly in which I have no regret choosing this hotel for our staycation. While for food hunting, you can just walk from the hotel as there are many food stalls in short distance. Overall, it was a very memorable stay for us. Thank you PARKROYAL Penang Resort!

Hotel Cititel is strategically situated at one end of Penang Road, in the heart of Georgetown, Penang's capital city. Its central location offers easy access to notable attractions and famous eateries. Nearby Attractions Restaurants: The hotel is located near famous Penang eateries: Penang Famous Laksa(10-minute walk) Roti Bakar Hutton Lane (5-Minute walk) Chowrasta (10-minute walk)

By the time we reach hotel from airport just pass 1pm, but we still go to check in try whether is the room ready. Luckily room was ready and we able to leave our luggage and head to next destination. The room overall is ok, the only problem is the piping whereby it easily get choke. The basin waste water take time to clear. But not a big issue, as the location is very great just few mins walk to one of the local night market. A lot of restaurant nearby. Will choose this hotel again, if we plan to visit penang again.

The cup provided in the restaurant at Bay View Beach Hotel showed clear signs of being unsuitable for use. The interior surface displayed visible crack lines, which not only compromised its appearance but also raised hygiene concerns. These cracks could potentially harbor bacteria, posing a health risk to customers. The gym equipment at Bay View Beach Hotel was outdated and poorly maintained.

The room that I stayed in at was absolutely breathtaking. It was spacious, elegantly decorated, and had a stunning view of the sea .The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the bathroom was luxurious with a large bathtub and a rain shower. I felt like a pampered guest throughout my stay, thanks to the thoughtful amenities provided in the room.

My elderly parents stayed at The Gurney during their medical checkup in Penang and accidentally left behind some documents. We emailed the hotel and left a message through booking.com to no avail. Then through a phone call, we got connected to Danesh at the Concierge Department, who then went the extra mile to coordinate among various departments within the hotel, and mailed the document through express courier service. His attentive service is highly appreciated.

It’s our maiden trip to Penang and I honestly did not have much expectations but our holiday was off to a GREAT start right from arrival. while we looked at photos and write-ups prior, the room was so much larger than we thought. the King bed is 3m wide which is much more spacious than what we’re used to back home—wonderful for us cos we were travelling with a 4yo. We also hadn’t realised that our room came with lounge access for evening drinks + snacks so that was a nice surprise. The view on the rooftop was breathtaking and we had some really nice photos taken. Guests also get to access the sister hotel’s facilities, which is a short buggy ride (or walk) away, so that was another pleasant surprise. the pool at G hotel Gurney was more varied and fun for the child, so that was another plus. breakfast spread is also really good. If we were to come back to Penang, i would not hesitate to stay with them again.

When we returned, a misunderstanding ensured. Cos of my earlier encounter, I was just unreasonable. But thank goodness for Suhaila (I think) and her manager - they deescalated the situation with grace and aplomb. That bump aside, I had a lovely time. Was in room 213. Initially I was worried because I have read about noise issues coming from the club next door. But either the club was closed or the soundproofing worked, there were no disturbances. We slept like babies. The room was beautiful, and the location is amazing. This hotel is highly Recommended. Just don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast. That was just too sad. We tried it on our last day in the hotel as we were leaving early for the airport. It was dismal.

The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

However my BAD experience that spoil the whole mood is when im been charge for late checkout without information of late check out ”rate”. Usually im staying at all hotel 5 stars at feringghi ( I already tried all 5 stars hotel at feringghi) even other than feringghi 5 stars hotel wont charge you 1hour for RM54 like lone pine. I BEEN CHARGE FOR RM 108 for 2 hours late checkout 12-2pm for marriot hotel. This is unacceptable. I want highlight for service 4stars hotel like you doesnt allowed for late checkout at all must sharp at 12pm must prior inform to guest. I late checkout until 2pm because I do solat first at room. Usually receptionist will call at 12.30-1pm to inform about can or not late checkout and have rate. BUT FOR LONE PINE. DONT call and DONT give any information about late checkout. So I thought Its okay like others 4-5stars hotel and for hotel under ”MARRIOT”. I regret because not receive information about late checkout rate. My advise is for people who usually familiar with 4-5stars sevice. This hotel doesn't provide those.reconsider for this hotel that dont allowed you checkout late than 12pm. Must sharp before 12pm. OTHERWISE THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR RM54/HOUR.

Excellent quiet location with a private waterfront. The outdoor infinity swimming pool is partially shaded and overlooks the strait of Malacca. The hotel has a classy heritage vibe with distinguished visitors such as Charle Chaplain and King Charles. The breakfast buffet is the best in town with made to order noodle soup and stir fried noodles. There is also a hot food station, omelette station, roti station, fresh fruits and bread

A stylish and classy hotel, strategically located near Little India, art area, food museum, all are a few minutes away. The jetty is about a 15 minute walk. However as a solo female traveller, all the adjacent streets are dark and quiet so didn’t feel comfortable walking around after 21:00. Room was cosy and nicely designed, bed was comfortable, and the free mini bar and sweets left in the jar daily was a lovely touch. Breakfast was ok, but the in-room food service was excellent and meals were fantastic. The room also has a water filter, saves buying bottled water. All staff were pleasant and helpful. The views from the rooftop pool are great, albeit the pool is on the smaller size. Enjoyed my three nights and would recommend the hotel.

My recent stay was excellent. The check-in process was seamless, and the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and has all the amenities needed. The uniqueness of this hotel is my room has a well- equipped lanai for relaxation and as a gathering and eating space. I especially appreciated the super comfortable bed and the fast & reliable Wi-Fi, which made it easy to stay connected. The hotel also has a rooftop infinity pool offered 360 degrees stunning panoramic views which I really enjoyed. The location is also very strategic— in the heritage area of Penang and within walking distance to major tourist and local food specialties. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable (home away from home), convenient place to stay with excellent service. I will definitely return and looking forward for my next stay here. Thank you for a lovely, comfortable stay & excellent hospitality.

Was upgraded to a two bed room apartment at check in, due to Bonvoy membership. Appreciate the kind gesture. Asked for a sea view room and hotel quickly arranged it even though it was not the original room allocated. The 2 bed room apartment was fantastic - sea view was beautiful from the bedroom, living and bath tub. And dining table had all the utensils required, and was beautifully done up. Breakfast was a good variety and of good quality. It was a working retreat and we spent a lot of time in the room clearing our work and truly appreciate this wonderful space.

We stayed at the Shangri-la Rasa Sayang resort as part of a journey down memory lane. Having lived in Penang in my childhood I was visiting with my wife after over 40-years and the only place I wanted to stay was this hotel where I had once been as a young boy. I’m glad to say that the hotel not only fulfilled my emotional needs but stands tall for its prime beach location, grand design, lush gardens, amazing buffet, and exotic ocean views. The reception staff recognized my milestone birthday at check in and sent us a bottle of red wine 😊 which was a great start. Our room had one of the best views from the balcony (most rooms have a good view) and a very comfortable bed, fully equipped bathroom and amenities. Outside the buffet in the morning are two hawkers preparing Teh Tarik and Kaya Toast while the buffet itself includes Malaysian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Western, and bakery sections. It’s a large dining area inside but also a lot of garden seating with ocean views. We got massages on the beach both days (which I highly recommend) and my wife also got a facial at their spa. Ours was the Garden Wing which is newer with an artistic pool area but the adjacent Rasa Wing which dates back to the original hotel is also equally good. The Batu Ferringhi road is lined with hotels and hawker markets which really come alive at night…we did walk through them once but preferred to relax in the resort itself. It’s a 20-25-min drive from Georgetown and about 30-45-min from the Penang bridge. If you’re looking to get the best in terms of a relaxing holiday and ease of access to other parts of Penang, I would highly recommend this hotel!

I really enjoyed my stay at Double Tree. Their service is tip top. The room is also very large and clean. I'm quite picky about cleanliness so this hotel meets my standard. The view is also magnificent as the staff gave me the seaview without me asking. We also received free cookies when we checked out. Overall 4.9/5.

Firstly the staff, they are all really lovely and cannot do enough for you. When we checked in we realised that we had accidentally booked the wrong week! But this wasn’t an issue as we were given a better room for the same price! In fact, we actually enjoyed our stay that much we ended up staying for 14 nights! The location is great, there’s plenty to do, lots of great cheap restaurants and the beach is less than a few minutes walk. Initially it was hard to find as it’s placed in an old shopping centre on the 2nd floor. We took the escalators but there is also a lift. Once you get inside, the secure front door the reception is modern and clean, 24hr help is always available and the rooms lock with a physical key. You get way more than you’d expect for the price. Modern clean rooms with refurbished en suite with rainfall shower. Hot water at all times and reliable WiFi. Tea and coffee 24/7 too! And breakfast everyday until 11am!! Every 3 days we got clean towels, fresh sheets and the room was cleaned. Some guests have complained about the noise from the charaoke which is on the same floor but our room was the closest to this and we were never kept up, the latest would could just about hear it was 23:30 but this was on a Saturday night! The only downsides, albeit small, were the lack of variety at breakfast, lack of natural light in the rooms due to the windows facing into the shopping centre so the curtains should be closed, and the WiFi was a bit slow, but only noticeable if streaming HD videos, for general web surfing it was more than capable! Overall me and my partner were very happy with our 2 weeks we spent here, we felt very safe and relaxed and you can’t argue with the price! It saved us a lot of money on our 6 month trip and was one our favourite place we stayed in Penang! Thank you once again, if we are ever in Malaysia again we will be sure to visit :)
