Nice & modern hotel So clean and near to all popular makan place.only walking distance, Nice bfast too,definitely my choice and will come again. Correct about the one way parking way,eso if u have bigger car.I park outside.

The location is great, walking distance to nearby mall & eateries. Room was spacious & decorated in luxurious style. Toilet was clean & equipped with bath tub which was a plus point for us. Love the breakfast spread that consisted of various nice food choices & the waitresses was very helpful especially to elderly. The only drawback was noise made by nearby hotel/ karaoke area at night. Overall, its worth the money i've paid.

Sunway Georgetown is located in a very convenient place with nearby amenities. New Lane hawker street is just located a short distance from hotel. Chowrasta Market near the famous Penang chendol is 15 minutes walk from hotel, with lovely breakfast choices. First Avenue & Prangin Mall are also a short walk away with shopping & food choices. Komtar is nearby and one must visit the Top at Komtar where there is an observatory deck & sunwalks. My favourite hotel where I come back to every year!

When I entered to hotel lobby till I checked in hotel room.. Hotel Reception officer & staff service very nice n friendly... especially Whole Hotel environment super clean & shine... U dun worry the Guest Room...really very clean. Breakfast taste not bad..many choices Honestly to tell u... I'm the regular client more than 11 years.....

The hotel is located at very strategic place with a beautiful view. Check in and check out process was very easy. Room is not truly to picture but was still nice. Heater,air cond and everything was fine with no isssues. Would love to back here again.

My two-day stay at Bertam Resort, Penang, with friends was a blissful escape. We enjoyed scenic views, delicious local cuisine, and relaxed by the poolside, creating unforgettable memories in a serene environment.

Very spacious room with great AC. Service is helpful and staff are all very friendly! However, discomfort is the notice from the temple / church every Morning at 5am and each Monday from 0800 to 0900 from the school briefing

Everything is nice.. but the bathroom will flood when used. All the water split outside due to the bathroom does not have a door to cover or even a curtain to separate the bathroom and toilet. All combine together. The room only has one chair. Not enough for those who don't like to sit at the bed to eat food. Can hear ppl bang door loudly when midnight.

Great choice if u are traveling with kids and friends. We were a group of two families and they offered us with the connected rooms. Rooms are spacious with abundant furniture and room service was quick and friendly at all times Swimming areas were well maintained and neat except you will be occasionally greeted with a bunch of bird if u are eating by the pool. Beach towel is available by the pool only and u are not allowed to take it to the room - can feel a bit of chill on the way back to the room since lobby and elevator are always cold with A/C Bring a pair of socks , long sleeves and pants if you are planning to taker ur kids to the kids club.

It feels exclusive when u stay in Lone Pine this will be my first time. I have been staying in Holiday Inn each time I visited Penang. After the pandemic 2 years ago I tried Golden Sands, Shangrila. Overall spacious room with balcony facing Seaview. Wish that they trim the trees so it will not obstruct the view from balcony. Breakfast was OK. Nice hotel.

We had a pleasant three-day stay at this hotel. The hotel is in an excellent location, situated between two large malls with plenty of shops and restaurants and within a reasonable cab ride to both George Town and Batu Ferringhi. The room was quite spacious but a little bit dated and worn down. It could use a refresh. The bed was very comfortable, however, and the water pressure in the shower was excellent. We enjoyed using the beautiful infinity pool. Service was friendly and efficient. One area that could use improvement is the breakfast. Although there is a good variety of items offered, many just weren't very tasty. The best thing on the buffet was the homemade ice cream. Overall, this is a good place to stay when exploring the island of Penang.

My elderly parents stayed at The Gurney during their medical checkup in Penang and accidentally left behind some documents. We emailed the hotel and left a message through booking.com to no avail. Then through a phone call, we got connected to Danesh at the Concierge Department, who then went the extra mile to coordinate among various departments within the hotel, and mailed the document through express courier service. His attentive service is highly appreciated.

Room was assigned considerable rest view as we can partially see great Seaview. However, Overpriced hotel if to compare to Kuala Lumpur Standard. Hotel is newly built and opened. The sofa is too long and blocked the way to open and close the curtains. At this price and design of the sofa, auto curtains is expected and coffee machine should be provided in the room. The bedsheets was rough and really below Marriott standard. The corridor is not spacious and wide enough (5”feet) as expected for this overpriced hotel. The entrance door to room also not as wide as expected.

It's great. The location is great. There are a wide range of snacks and restaurants around. Two large shopping malls are even more convenient. Friends will recommend this hotel to their future friends.

My first time check into this Hotel , I and my wife love this hotel from A-Z . Room is clean , staff is friendly , the design of this hotel is nice and the breakfast is one of the best we ever had. Really hard to find bad thing about this hotel and everything is just awesome. We will definitely come back to Hard Rock Penang again.

Hotel maintains its usual high standard with staff always make a smile to guests. Health club can accommodate sufficient guests with cool and dry towels. Pool is large with plenty of armchairs. Breakfast is of high standard with efficient staff clear up quickly. You may swim with a lizard but don't worry, he's cooling off for a while 😁 A small long tail black monkey may sit in your balcony😅 The only problem is room sound proof is bad, adjacent room guests were chatting loudly at 1am, I called front desk and they came up with the proposal of moving us to another room in the middle of the night! That shouldn't be the solution, if the guests are partying, are you moving all the others?

It started off rough. Got into the hotel early to leave our luggage and the guy manning the check in was cold, standoffish, and didn’t even bother replying to our pleasantries. When we returned, a misunderstanding ensured. Cos of my earlier encounter, I was just unreasonable. But thank goodness for Suhaila (I think) and her manager - they deescalated the situation with grace and aplomb. That bump aside, I had a lovely time. Was in room 213. Initially I was worried because I have read about noise issues coming from the club next door. But either the club was closed or the soundproofing worked, there were no disturbances. We slept like babies. The room was beautiful, and the location is amazing. This hotel is highly Recommended. Just don’t bother to pay extra for the breakfast. That was just too sad. We tried it on our last day in the hotel as we were leaving early for the airport. It was dismal.

Our honeymoon at this fantastic 5-star hotel was an absolute dream! The location is unbeatable, within walking distance of all the must-see spots. The complimentary mini-bar and coffee service added a thoughtful touch to our stay. What an amazing hotel! 😍 I had a big room with beautiful decoration and a breathtaking sea view. The service team is very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. I would definitely book this hotel again.

The hotel room is in French style and has an atmosphere. The whole hotel is a century-old building with not many rooms. The bathroom supplies are from Australian Aesop, which is very high-quality. Breakfast is a la carte and there is Chinese service. The service is very good and warm. It is the biggest in the hotel. The shortcoming is the location. You can walk from Bincheng Old Town, but it takes about half an hour. However, the highlight is that you will pass a place similar to a vegetable market on the road, and there will be a durian stall on the roadside that cannot be found in Bincheng Old Town. The hotel is generally good and suitable for fashionable young couples.

A unique accommodation in the heart of Georgetown. This was the perfect location and within walking distance of many places of interest as well as local and western eateries. The staff at this place go above and beyond. Staying there for a week you start to feel a part of the family. They are able to organize tours, drivers and laundry at request. The rooms itself was spacious and around the side of the building meaning it was well hidden and the rooms; you really feel like you are staying in a authentic Malaysian mansion given the decor. Last but not least there is the resident cat ”Mike” who you will undoubtedly come across for pats throughout the day. We also got breakfast during the stay and they have a local or western option. My advice go for the roti- was very yummy. All in all I would recommend this accommodation to anyone looking to stay in Georgetown and would stay there again if I return.

The hotel’s location is strategic. My 1st time in Seberang Jaya. The staffs were all very helpful and friendly. Even the bell boy & housekeeping boy, I cant remember his real name but he kept my AlQuran neatly on the table. Thanks. The room i was staying in had a very amazing view during day & night as it facing the city. Thanks for the warm hospitality as i felt welcomed. But something to improve with the toilet. Please check with the toilet system or something regarding the the ventilating system. I had problem with the security box too but the staffs came immediately to fix it. Overall, other than those prob, hotel was good!

The hotel facilities are relatively old, the furniture in the room is too dark, it's frightening, and it's depressing to walk into the room. The location of the hotel is relatively remote, 5 kilometers away from the shopping mall, which is inconvenient.

Sunway hotel always be my first choice, staff are polite, helpful, even the security are friendly and helpful, they reserve parking lots for regular guest and is free of charge. Shopping mall is just 200m away, with many foods and fashion outlets, walking distance from the hotel have many restaurants and cafe for food and some even open 24 hours. Hotel rooms are well maintain and bottle water are supply unlimited to room. Coffee house in the hotel ground floor also provide breakfast, lunch and dinner. Overall very satisfied with my stay.

The hotel provide a very competitive price for the stay, no doubt the room is without window, but the room is clean and air-conditioner is strong, tea bags and coffee bags were given in room. Breakfast is simple but foods are acceptable. only one downside is hair was found in one of the fruits supplied during breakfast, I think coffee house has to be more careful when food is given to guess. Check in was fast and efficient, deposit of RM100 is required during check in and refundable the next day.

Room and facilities is very comfortable and clean. Staff are friendly. They provide free parking. I like the bed and pillow. Very super comfortable to sleep in. I will come again next time when visiting penang.

Love the complimentary coffee at the lobby. Receptionist are very friendly especially the indian male which I can't recall his name. Gym and swimming pool are brand new as well!

The hall is clean and welcoming. And with a hawker food centre next to it, everything seems good. However there is no free parking at the front of the hotel but you can park for free at a nearby basement car park (ask receptionist for direction). We were given a corner room, and once I opened the door and on the light, I was shocked to see cockroaches crawling out from underneath the bed and back again! Didn’t have good night sleep for consecutive 2 days. My friends in the other room also felt uncomfortable for the 2 nights. Maybe the room is rather small for 2 pax. The pleasant thing is the Bosses Cafe next to the hotel offers very good coffee and desserts.

Stayed at Grand Orient for one night for a business trip, and even though the hotel catered more for families with children (they have an in-house water park, though I did not try it out), I was generally satisfied with my stay. Room: Being relatively new certainly helped them in this regard, as the room's fittings were good and intact and the room itself felt fresh despite not having any windows. Bed and linen were comfortable, and the room was equipped with basic amenities. They provided an ironing board and iron which was a handy addition. Toilet was clean and modern. My only complaint - the toilet had a small tube (most probably for draining air-conditioning condensate water) sticking out of the ceiling directly on top the sink, which dripped water once in a while. Definitely something that needs to be improved on. Also, the room was quite small and felt slightly cramped. Location: Not very conducive, as there are hardly any shops within walking distance. The nearest convenience store would be a petrol station, about a 5-minute walk away. You would have to drive out for food and goods. Staff: Professional and welcoming. No complaints. Conclusion: Even though the Grand Orient had an in-house water park and was more family-oriented, the hotel premises was generally clean. It is probably not well suited for certain target groups, so do bear in mind what your priorities are before considering this place. All in all an ok place, though I may have scored it higher if it weren't for the odd water leak issue in the toilet.

Clean. Price that is affordable to me as a retiree. Surprise me to find lift in a 3 storey hotel. Cctv and internet give feel of security and convenience. Staff friendly and helpful. Many restaurants within walking distance of 5 to 10 minutes. Malay food, mamak good, Chinese, western food, Japanese food are there to visitors to choose. Grab car easily available.
