I stayed at Fujisan Station Hotel and found it quite convenient overall. The location is excellent, just across from Mt. Fuji Station, making it very easy to get around. Check-in was done with the staff and went smoothly. Free parking is available, which is a plus. There is no onsen and no complimentary bottled water, but there is a free ice machine in the dining area, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks. The water faucet is an old-style rotary type. Breakfast starts at 7:00 AM, but food runs out quickly due to the large number of guests. The buffet includes scrambled eggs, grilled mackerel, rice, miso soup, salad, fresh milk, and granola. The small bread rolls and mini croissants were not very good. The twin room was clean, but the beds were quite firm and not very comfortable.

A hidden gem of a hotel with spectacular views of Mount Fuji! I booked a random room just a week before Golden Week, and upon entering, I was immediately struck by how spacious and bright it was. The room itself was also very roomy and incredibly clean. Both of their hot springs offer direct, panoramic views of Mount Fuji! The large floor-to-ceiling windows in the breakfast restaurant started my day off beautifully. It happened to be Children's Day in Japan, and the hotel thoughtfully provided games and movies for the kids. I was very satisfied with this stay. I highly recommend staying two or three nights – it's truly rejuvenating.

We just passed two great nights in this lovely hotel in the heart of Mount Fuji. I highly recommend coming here, specially if you love Vietnamese food like me haha. The rooms are big with a good size balcony (unusual in Japan) the amenities are excellent, the bath is big and very functional and the staff is very nice The location is perfect with just 14 minutes walking from the station and just 10 minutes away from a big shopping mall, supermarkets at just 4 minutes and obviously Mount Fuji just in front of you, everybody wants to wake up with Fuji-San and a coffee. Also very family friendly from what I saw with multiple families with kids.

Our stay at this hotel in Yamanakako was absolutely wonderful. The location is stunning, surrounded by beautiful scenery and such a peaceful atmosphere. Everything was spotless and very well maintained. We stayed in a Japanese-style room, and it exceeded all of our highest expectations — spacious, comfortable, authentic, and truly special. The breakfast was delicious and incredibly generous. There was so much food that it was difficult to finish everything! The grounds around the hotel are also beautifully arranged and cared for, creating a very relaxing environment. We also had dinner there, which was excellent and offered at a very reasonable price. Yamanakako itself is much calmer and more peaceful than Kawaguchiko, so for us it was definitely the better choice. We highly recommend both the area and this hotel to anyone looking for a more relaxing stay near Mount Fuji. The only possible downside for some travelers might be the limited transportation options, but for us it was not a problem at all. There is a bus that circles the lake, and we easily reached Oshino, Fujiyoshida, and Kawaguchiko. In the evenings the town becomes wonderfully quiet, which was actually a huge advantage. After busy days in Tokyo, the silence and calmness here felt deeply relaxing. The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We would especially like to thank them because my husband accidentally left his insulin medication in the refrigerator in our room. We did not even realize it was missing. After finding it during cleaning, the staff contacted us immediately and literally drove to the bus stop just five minutes before our bus to Mishima arrived to hand us the medication personally. We were truly touched by their kindness and care. This level of hospitality is rare and unforgettable. We wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and would gladly stay here again.

Honestly cleanliness wise, -1 for it being just a little dusty floor (but you have slippers) and you may see the wood furnitures has some scratches due to age but otherwise you can expect a clean space 😁 location is about 10 min walk to bus station, Lawson and theme park. Has shuttle bus service to Fujikyu Highland Bus station & vice versa, so you don't need to go through other transportation hassle with your luggage. Service is impeccable with all friendly smiles and attention whenever they see you at their main service centre in the property. Every villa has rooftop full Mt Fuji view but if you want window Fuji view from inside your villa that will see your luck as you may be blocked by other villas. Nevertheless would recommend staying here for any family or group of friends. Decent facility to stay in and not go anywhere in Kawaguchiko too. Picture of rooftop view and around villa walkway.

The room was tiny, and the bed was also quite small – just a single. However, it was well-equipped, the service was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. There's a 7/11 convenience store nearby, along with many restaurants, which was extremely convenient. Highly recommended.

Extremely satisfied with this trip! The inn was very clean, and the owner was absolutely wonderful (successfully helped me retrieve my backpack that I'd left on the bus!). Plus, the delicious Japanese breakfast gave me plenty of energy to hit the outlets for a whole morning without a problem. The inn's communal bath was also very clean and comfortable for three people to soak in together. Overall, highly recommended! The nearby supermarket is also very convenient.

Just a heads-up, there are two of these hotels in Kofu, so make sure you choose the one near the station. The food was great, with lots of local Kofu specialties, and everything smelled delicious. The hot springs were also very relaxing. However, the hotel is located at a crossroads where pedestrians can't cross directly, so you have to walk a detour, which was a bit inconvenient.

The hotel service was great, and the facilities were comprehensive. The semi-buffet breakfast was of excellent quality. The hotel's location is superb, being close to the train station, offering a quiet environment despite being in a bustling area. The best part is that you can see Mount Fuji from both the rooms and the rooftop observation deck, which is absolutely amazing!

The reception staff doesn't want to work. They make you self-check in, and they gave me a room on the ground floor. When I asked the staff member for a room on a higher floor, she started lying, saying that this type of room was only available on that floor. The hotel has 12 floors. After my confusion and persistence, she gave me the same room on a higher floor. She didn't want to do this because she had to do it manually. The rooms have views of Mount Fuji in one direction and Kofu Castle in the other. It's convenient that there's space under the bed for suitcases. The windows open, and the air conditioning is individually controlled and quiet. There's no outlet in the bathroom, as is the case with all Toyokos. The sink in my room didn't drain well. There are no lockers for luggage; it's stored in the lobby by number. The breakfast is very modest, even compared to other Toyokos I've stayed at. The shuttle to the station runs very infrequently and at limited times, which is inconvenient. It's a 10-minute walk.

GGuest UserWe had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. The room was absolutely beautiful, designed in a traditional Japanese style, which made the experience feel very special and authentic. One of the highlights was the stunning view of Mount Fuji from the window in the morning — it was truly unforgettable. We would definitely love to come back again and highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

NNataliliumStayed at The Gran Resort Princess Fujikawaguchiko and had a great overall experience. The room was very spacious, and I like that they offer mostly twin and triple bed setups, which feel comfortable and practical. The best part is that every room has a view of Mt. Fuji, which makes the stay really special. The onsen was also very nice—clean, relaxing, and a great way to unwind after a day out. Service was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Food was decent, nothing too standout but still enjoyable. Location-wise, it worked well for me since I rented a car. However, it might be less convenient if you rely on public transport. Overall, a great stay if you want space, a good onsen, and a guaranteed Fuji view.

MMac_RingoExcellent value for money! You can see Mount Fuji directly from the room just by opening the curtains. The restaurant is a bit mediocre; it tends to get chaotic because they cater to many tour groups. The nearest Japanese restaurant closes early, so you'll have to go near Kawaguchiko Station for dinner.

SSimon.WI booked this hotel because the promotion made it seem luxurious, but the surroundings feel odd, almost like all the trees have been removed by purpose, littered with dry leaves and fallen branches. It feels dirty and poorly cared for. I was expecting a neatly landscaped area with grass and trees, but instead, the outside feels like a barren, lifeless space. That said, the inside of the room looks very good. The accommodation consists of two separate large caravan‑style rooms. They are not very spacious, but they are sufficient for a family of four. One of the rooms has slightly less living space because it includes a larger bathroom, with a full‑size bathtub. This is something you rarely find in Tokyo, where most bathtubs are quite small, so this was a pleasant surprise. Unfortunately, we struggled with the bathtub controls as it was written in Japanese, we couldn't use it after all. Also, the heating system are all labeled in Japanese, and there were no clear instructions in English. As a result, we didn’t figure out how to use the heating until the second night. We stayed for two nights in total. There is an outdoor spa area, which is interesting and enjoyable. We used it and found it quite good, although it is small. It works best for two people, three is a tight squeeze, and four would be uncomfortable. The sauna is decent and operates daily. Breakfast is served at set times rather than as a buffet, likely because the hotel only has 14 rooms. Guests must choose a time slot, such as 7:00, 7:30, 8:00, 8:30. We chose 8:30. Breakfast is a set menu rather than self‑service. Each morning includes a starter, a main dish, and some small item to finish, well enough for us. The first day was Japanese‑style, with a rice‑based dish. The second day was Western‑style, with a sandwich as the main course and fried eggs with pork belly. The food tasted good, but we would have appreciated more water. We did not ask for refills, as staff left the area after serving. Finding the hotel is a bit difficult. The entrance sign is blocked by a car park sign, making it very easy to miss. You need to drive very slowly, or you will pass it without realising it. We spent several minutes searching before realising this was the place. Be prepared to see a car park with two signs, where one directly blocks the hotel’s entrance sign.

GGuest UserThe staff at Fuji Premium Resort went above and beyond to help us when we had some difficulties.  When we went it was snowing hard and had been involved in a minor car accident. The staff kept registration open late, got us food at no extra charge from the gift shop because the dining area was closed, and arranged transportation for us to get back to our car the next day because it was not able to get up the hill in the icy conditions and no other cost.  The rooms were nice and comfortable and the buffet breakfast in the morning was delicious.  Would absolutely stay with them again.

GGuest UserI booked this room specifically for the Mt. Fuji view. It was much cheaper than other hotels in the area, but really, all you're getting is the view and a place to sleep. I hadn't booked a room with an outdoor hot spring, but there wasn't even a bathtub in the bathroom, nor a large public bath. For this price, I really think there should be a tub. For meals, sukiyaki was the only option, so thankfully I'd bought some ready-to-eat meals at 7-Eleven. The view was good though.

GGuest UserThis onsen hotel by Lake Kawaguchiko offers stunning views of Mount Fuji from the room. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the train station in the morning, which is convenient as it's a bit of a walk. For the best photo opportunities of Mount Fuji, head a short distance to the right of the hotel.

GGuest UserThe bathroom was a bit cramped, though. The sink was too close to the tatami mat, which made it awkward to wash up and water easily splashed onto the floor. However, the onsen service was fantastic – that's why we chose this place! There are two baths, so you can switch between them, and the water was very clean. It's also quite convenient for seeing Mt. Fuji in pink the next day, about a 7-minute walk from Kawaguchiko Ohashi Bridge.
