Welcomed right from the get go even though our room wasn't quite ready! The staff were incredibly kind. Honestly, finding an affordable accommodation in Nara at this good of a location does not come easy, and so if you're traveling on a budget this is an excellent option. Room was very clean, air conditioning worked very well on those hot summer days, we were in the budget room but it was still decently comfortable and spacious for two people. Definitely would recommend.

I stayed here for 2 nights with my family of 4 (a couple and 2 elementary school students) during the year-end and New Year holidays. This inn seems to have opened in October 2022 after being renovated from another ryokan, so it feels more for foreigners than for Japanese people. Of course, the staff can communicate in Japanese, but they seemed to be foreign nationals. All staff were friendly. It was my first time in Nara, but the location was good. It is close to Nara Park, and all shrine areas such as Kasuga Taisha are within walking distance. It is also an area where there are many stylish restaurants, so I think adults can enjoy it. My family had two elementary school students who liked and disliked meals, so I prefer family restaurants and Italian restaurants rather than bars and izakayas, but it was okay. There is no elevator, but the suitcases and luggage I left before check-in were carried to the room. It's a wooden building, so the walls are thin, and there was a sign saying no loud noises. The bath is a hot spring and the spring quality is good, but it cannot be said that it is large. There are 3 showers in the men's bath and 10 lockers with locks in the dressing room, but it was so cramped if two adults changed clothes at the same time. If you are an adult, it is better to have about 2 people at the same time, and if 3 to 4 people enter, it will be full. It's just a little bigger than a home bath. There was one coin laundry. You need to bring your own detergent, but there is a washing machine and dryer, which is recommended for long-term guests and those who want to keep luggage to a minimum. Necessary amenities are available at the front desk. There is no refrigerator and TV in the room, so it would be nice if it was easy, but it was a little inconvenient when drinking alcohol bought at a convenience store in the room. The toilet in the room has also been renovated, and it feels like a clean home toilet.

Stayed during the shosoin exhibition. I found that I was looking for a private room (because the guest house is impossible) because I only use it to sleep almost on a solo trip. It was a room of 4 tatami mats and half, but there was no problem using it alone, and the joint toilet and toilet were cleaned cleanly. It is a Japanese homestay, booked a Japanese-style room (the boss is really good as everyone commented), except for the small room, other health and environment are very good. It is very close to Nara Park and is within walking distance. At the same time, it is very close to Nara Subway Station. If you are looking for a good value for money, this hotel is a good choice. recommend!

We were absolutely delighted with the ryokan. The owner is very nice and good-natured. Everywhere is perfectly clean, the linen and yukata are snow-white and smell fresh. Two layers of tatami, super comfortable to sleep. The room is spacious, bright and cozy. The wood flooring in the onsen/wash area has been updated. Tea, treats and kaiseki are all delicious! Thanks for taking care of me!

Totally exceeded expectations. Friendliest hosts, well maintained, and superb food. Incredible value for money considering the establishment is in the Michelin guide. Traditional breakfast and dinner included, which was superb. When we left a bag behind, owner drove with the bag until he caught up to us. Could not recommend more highly.

毎年 避暑に行かせてもらっています。気温は昼でも28℃程度で昼も夜も涼しくて快適です。子供は川遊び（ホテルの横がすぐ川で，浅くて安全に遊べます）で楽しみ大人は涼しい気温を楽しみました。食べ物はアマゴ料理がおいしく，アマゴのあらい・唐揚げ・塩焼きがおすすめです（夜ご飯の時に別途注文することが可能です）。涼しいおかげでよく眠れて日頃の疲れも取れました。宿の人は親切で川遊び・花火にいろいろと便宜を図ってくれました。おかげさまで今年も楽しい夏休みがすごせました。ありがとうございました。

He mentioned that he could fix something simple if I didn't mind as his wife would be busy. He offered to pick me up from Shimoichiguchi station when he knew I was going by train. After picking me up, he brought me to a famous temple on the way. It was not somewhere I could visit without driving so I was appreciative. He explained that the house was left behind by his mother and he decided to convert it to a guesthouse last year. There is a famous shrine with a Noh stage within 10 mins walk from the guesthouse and I went there twice as there was a procession at 8am the next morning. There is also Amano river where waters are clear and fishermen can be seen occasionally. Dinner will eventually still prepared by the owner's wife. Food was fresh and delicious. I had beef stew with whole grain rice and several side dishes from the town. As the nearby onsen was closed until June, I decided to visit Dorogawa onsen during checkout. The owner offered to drive me there at no charges. The guesthouse was tastefully converted from a 2 century old house with a nice fusion of new and old. Guests could use the living area with stove heating, bar counter, bathroom and toilets. There are only 2 bedrooms so chances are, you can get some peaceful relaxation. The owner speaks limited English but he uses an electronic pocket tool to help him communicate with overseas guest. His room rates are very very reasonable and he and his wife are both very kind and friendly. They really go all out to make your stay pleasant so give the guesthouse a try. The owner heard I wanted to see stars though I told him I did not expect to since the weather forecast was cloudy. He checked the skies at 9pm and told me that some stars could be seen and took me to a dark stargazing spot nearby. I was happy as I managed to take some decent photos.

Liuwu was originally the first time to recruit foreign tourists. Here, the owner received a warm hospitality. The environment is not only clean but also very comfortable. The house can be soaked in the hot springs. The owner also specially prepared breakfast for us. Knowing that I don't have an order dinner, Zhong helped us make an appointment for a nearby restaurant. I returned the car to the restaurant 👍🏻👍🏻 Next time I go here, I have to remember the order buried dinner 😉 (the nearby restaurant closes early) My husband and I went to Tianchuan Village for the first time. The villagers here are very friendly. I am really a little reluctant to leave. I will go again next time!
