Yalakhom is situated at a remote yet accessible village in Himachal Pradesh called - Kalgha. Kalgha comes in the way to Kheerganga Trek, so those who are planning to go for the trek may consider staying at Yalakhom, as it is a great place to rewind and relax. I stayed at Yalakhom in the first week of June, the weather was pleasant and the rains made my stay even more pleasurable. When you will be at Yalakhom there won’t be any view you could take your eyes off. The people managing the homestay are also great. They take their time in cooking food, but they will serve you the freshest food possible with wide variety to choose from, that too at such a remote place. The wonderful folks at Yalakhom also offer accompanied guidance for treks, however I wasn’t aware of this until my final day at Yalakhom, so I couldn’t make use of the same. Pemba bhai, Agrimji, Resham bhai and Yangzee didi must be specifically mentioned. They will accomodate you as you are their friend, while respecting your privacy at the same time. I highly recommend Yalakhom notwithstanding your purpose of vacation, be it trekking or taking a peaceful break at the Himalayas.

For a very affordable price, location is near the mall road. Room is quite small, and sheets are a bit dusty but the price was well worth the money!

staff behaviour was really good . we travelled when electricity cut was their in Manali for 3-4 days . while other hotels are not offering electricity, this hotel managed electricity throughout night time with generator.

I reached early. And staff was very helpful & courteous. Room balcony view is very beautiful. Food is also good. Rooftop restaurant view & food was delicious. As a solo traveller i find it very comfortable, and safe hotel. Also most of the attractions & cafes are nearby on walking distance.

Nice clean and hygienic rooms at cost effective pricing. Only things that could be improved are correct room photographs as per options available in hotel (like the room we stayed had window but nothing to look out, it was blocked with an adjacent building wall. Additionally the food options were limited and could use some upgrades. The location was convenient and accessibility to hotel was good.

we stayed for days. Hotel was good location wise, walking distance from mall road and bus stand. Manager charged 300 for pickup from bus stand to Hotel without informing me ( generally free pickup is provided by the hotel). Manager forced to take car from hotel for site visit but we didn't take from hotel. Overall it is sasta hotel with good facilities. Also I recommend others that it is good place to stay. Supporting staff is good and provided tea and dinner on time whenever we ordered
