Stockholm

As Sweden’s capital city, Stockholm is the political, cultural, economic and transport heart of Sweden, and is the location of the Swedish government, the Parliament, and the royal palace. The whole area of Stockholm is spread over 14 islands and a peninsula, and has the fine reputation as the “Venice of the North.” The area of the old city has a long and well-preserved history, with more than a hundred museums and famous historical sites. It is also a modern city with many well-designed clothing and furniture stores.
