Today is Saturday, and the weekend market in the Rocks area opened as scheduled. Maybe because of the rain, there were not as many visitors and customers as usual, and it was wet everywhere. I just took a walk around as usual and then left.
Today is Saturday. As usual, there should be a folk market at the Sydney Harbour Bridge, so I set off immediately after breakfast and took the intercity train 🚉 to the market location. As always, the market is still in the old place~at the foot of the North Bridge of Sydney Harbour Bridge. From a distance, you can see that there are stalls of merchants under big umbrellas, selling everything. Of course, the most popular is the food stall, which has food from all over the world and all kinds of tastes. There are also clothing, shoes, hats, and works of art. I even saw old cameras from the last century (all antique level), and the price is not expensive. I will definitely buy one next time I go. The beautiful Sydney even has such an elegant folk market. I really like it.
The markets are back and better than ever. They are spread out over several blocks and combined with outdoor dining areas. Great atmosphere and old world charm. A must visit on a weekend in Sydney. The Rocks Markets add a splash of colour to the Rocks area near Sydney Harbour. The market is open only on weekends and is mainly aimed at tourists disembarking from nearby cruise ships. The stalls here offer beads, necklaces, shades etc. that one would find in similar markets elsewhere. Prices tend to be on the higher side. There are also food stalls offering juices, ice creams and snacks. For me these are better than the actual markets. To be sure, you won’t miss anything without visiting the markets, but the Rocks area itself is worth a visit for its narrow lanes and old cottages, with history everywhere.
The weekend market in the rock area will have local artists or various merchants set up stalls here every Saturday and Sunday. It was rainy on the day of the trip, but the stalls in the market have sheds, so it does not affect the visit. At the entrance to the market near the ring pier, there is a bicycle full of flowers, which is actually used to place a map of the rock area. The design is very interesting. The stalls range from clothing, personal jewelry, soap spices, local souvenirs, art paintings to dried meat. There are many refrigerator stickers made by the store itself, which are basically not available elsewhere. As a refrigerator sticker, I didn't hesitate to buy a bunch. In short, it's very interesting, I can go shopping for a long time!
The weekend market in the rock area should be the most famous. Every weekend, it is super lively. I also met a dog like a plush toy. It’s so cute. I also want to recommend it to everyone. There is a stall where you can buy dried fruit. The fruit is air-dried and there is no additive. It feels good. Eat an old couple is very good
The Friday market in the rocky area is purely coincidental, but the lively atmosphere, strong aroma, a wide variety of goods, enough to make the unforgettable, not long streets gather a variety of food white tents, a variety of handmade products, and leisurely people. That's how life tastes.
Every time I come to The rocks, as long as there is a market, I will definitely stroll around. I like to visit this market very much. But here is more tourists. It’s not like Paddington. It feels cleaner.
