Olympia Restaurant is a little off the crowded tourist path in Orlando, but that is one of the nicest things about it. It offers a broad menu, authentic Greek and Mediterranean dishes, and excellent service. It was curiously quiet on the Saturday evening I had dinner with a friend. We indulged ourselves the Saganaki, a fried feta cheese appetizer that is set aflame at the table. Our server was delightful, and we applauded the presentation. The cheese was delicious, too. We also sampled stuffed grape leaves and Greek salad.
Genuine Greek food-- fantastic service. Not as fancy as many of the International Drive restaurants, but one of the best meals I've had in Orlando. Most authentic Greek food I've had this side of Athens. Calamari, roasted red peppers, to the authentic Greek salad-- chunks of fresh cucumber, tomato, onion and Feta. Chicken stuffed with spinach-- awesome. All served fresh and hot out of the kitchen! Sample some Greek wines along with an extensive selection of appetizers and entrees. I'll be back on a weekend to see the belly dancers. This place is a gem.
Wonderful meal, probably the best Greek Food on the eastern coast line. Service was excellent even the hosting when we came in, made us feel so welcomed. We later found out that their entire family ran the restaurant, hostess, service, cooks, even their parents.
I was on a mission. I wanted a decent gryo on a pita for lunch. I was driving in from Miami so Olymipia was an easy choice due to proximity to 417. The restaurant was darkish & empty at 1pm but the cheery waitress happily suggested their $5.95 gyros lunch special. Done! It was just what I wanted. An ultra-fresh pita with fresh & tasty innards. And friendly service!
