I'm not too happy about animals being exhibited like this. But, (pardon my short rant) with habitat loss and continued poaching, places like this may be the only hope for survival. Rant aside, this is a very nice habitat and in my opinion, some decent expense could be paid to the tigers for their welfare and comfort. The show is pretty good to watch. Of course the tigers are only more active a few times a day than others, and if they happen to wander or nap in a corner, that's just the norm. Add in that you actually bring kids to Las Vegas (which is not a favorite place for kids at all, they have a curfew for kids under 17), it's a nice habitat, as is the dolphin exhibit at the Mirage.
We had a great chat with the staff who greeted us at the secret garden, she told us where the animals were and how far away they were, and seeing the different species was well worth it. It takes at least half an hour to walk around, not an hour to see everything. But the ticket was only $23, which is great, but it doesn't guarantee you'll see all the animals.
The white tiger show at Miramar Hotel is a zoo and worth the price we paid, which is not expensive for Las Vegas. The staff is very friendly and enthusiastic. I was very happy to hear an employee say Siegfried
