Qingquan Ancient Temple was founded in the Qingshunzhi years, has a history of 370 years, is a famous Guanyin Bodhisattva Daochang. Because there are two different sources of Qingquan clamping walls on both sides of the temple, the rainy season does not rise, the dry season is not bad, the year is constant, the spring water is sweet and delicious, so it is called Qingquan Ancient Temple. The temple is dedicated to the Guanyin Bodhisattva in the South China Sea, one of the main religious holy sites in Daya Bay.

清泉古寺位于惠州市惠阳区的一个山脚及半山腰处，依山而建，气势磅礴，占地面积比较大。如果从惠州南站（位于惠阳）去清泉古寺，没有直达的公交车，至少要转车一次。从惠州南站有299路公交车，终点站是霞涌汽车总站，你坐299到霞涌汽车总站后，转189路公交车，终点站就是清泉古寺，车开到寺主建筑前，很方便。记住，唯一到达清泉古寺的公交车就是189路车，而且189路车35分钟的开车间隔时间，经常要等比较久。清泉古寺有很多古老的神秘传说，例如：里面的泉水可以治病等等。现在的清泉古寺是新修的，感觉很新，真的很不错。

霞涌清泉古寺修缮一新的游客服务中心已进入装修阶段，不久之后，这座370年的古寺将重放光彩。记者日前从大亚湾区旅游部门获悉，霞涌清泉古寺创AAA旅游景区(以下简称“3A景区”）相关申报材料已通过区旅游主管部门核准，正向市一级申报。与清泉古寺同时申报3A景区的，还有碧海湾休闲度假区。这两个3A景区的创建，将结束大亚湾区有风光无景区的历史，翻开该区旅游事业发展的新篇章。
