Yangshan Ancient Village

Yangshan Ancient Village Tourist Area is located in Zhenghe Township, Guiyang County, 30 kilometers away from Chenzhou City and 15 kilometers away from Guiyang County. The Yangshan Ancient Village Tourist Area is surrounded by green mountains and lingering with beautiful waters, just like the realm described in "Peach Blossom Spring". It has been nearly 600 years since the first ancestor of the Ming Dynasty moved there in 1497. The entire ancient residential complex covers an area of 15,000 square meters, and there are 80 intact ancient buildings. The village is located in the north facing south, with houses built on the hills, and the village is bounded by the water. The layout of the village pays attention to "the harmony of heaven, earth and man", and the structure reflects the Confucian "neutralization" thought, which is a perfect combination of folk culture and architecture. The people of the He clan in Yangshan Village migrated from Lujiang County. They worship literature and martial arts, seek harmony, understand propriety and righteousness, and serve agriculture. There have emerged more than ten scholars, officials, generals, and Hanlin. To help the weak and the poor, we spontaneously set up the "Chongjiu Association (respect for the elderly)", "Yihui Association (student assistance)", "Baby Rescue Association (helping children)", "Jianjie Association (self-discipline)", "Zongyuan Association (Sacrifice)" Ancestors)", "Daughter Association (rights protection)" and other "six associations" governing the village organizations have formed a century-old family tradition of "tolerance, sincerity, honesty, harmony and virtuousness", and are the "living fossils" of ancient Chinese folk customs.
