Ghent-St. Peters (Gent-Sint-Pieters) is Ghent's main railway station with its unique red brick clock tower. This eclectic-style building, which was put into use at the 1913 World's Fair, is one of the largest railway stations in Belgium. In 2007, it was fully modernized, during which time the station building was demolished to the foundation and then rebuilt using the same red brick clock tower that stood above the north side of the main entrance of the station.
The appearance of Ghent's St. Peter's Railway Station is not very good, and the ticket hall inside is not large, which may be the reason for the small place. But there are also many restaurants in the lobby, in addition to Starbucks, there are several Western-style fast food restaurants, and it is very concentrated for passengers to enter and exit.
Ghent St. Peter's car is one of the busiest train stations in Belgium. Checked the architectural style, it is eclectic, the clock tower and the glass roof are quite beautiful. The station is a certain distance from the center of Ghent and it takes about 30 minutes to walk. Although it is a small city, the entrance of the station is still very lively. On the day I went, I was engaged in yogurt promotions at the door. Each person can take a box of formal clothes for free, which is too bold.
I went there a few years ago and had a good chance to see it again.
This train station has a sense of history, very long, and a sense of history.
