Leishan

Leishan County is located in the southwest of the Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture and is imbued with the rich cultural traditions and flavor of local indigenous cultures, particularly the Miao. The unique traditional Miao jinji dance originated here in Leishan. Leishan has both a national forest park and a national geopark. It gets its name from the mythical Leigong, “Lord of Thunder,” who is said to reside here. Leishan also has other locally flavored attractions such as the Langde Scenic Area and a unique Miao village.
