🌊 Maldives accommodations... $50 for two?

When you think of the Maldives, you probably think of luxury resorts and expensive vacations. However, you can enjoy the Maldives for a truly affordable price! Staying on the main island, where Maldivian locals live, is a great option.

I recommend the Lonuveli accommodation on Holumalé Island, where I stayed. It was around $50 for two. It was conveniently located right on the beach, and I was very satisfied with the cleanliness and friendliness.

🏨 Room Conditions
The room was incredibly clean. The staff walked around the room barefoot, without shoes. Even the bedding and floors were well-maintained.

🌅 Beachfront Terrace View
The accommodation is right in front of White Beach, with the expansive Maldivian ocean stretching out before you. Rooms with terraces offer a direct view of the beautiful beach from the window. ✨ It's a great place for a morning jog.

🐠 Snorkeling and water sports available right in front of the accommodation
There's a rental shop called White Beach Watersports right in front of the accommodation. You can enjoy water activities like snorkeling gear, paddleboards, and kayaks right there. You can also take a boat to the snorkeling spots. Having the activity shop right next to the accommodation is super convenient!

🍽️ Breakfast is included
I didn't expect breakfast to be included because the accommodation was so cheap, but it was. The breakfast was surprisingly filling. It had a variety of options, including pasta, bread, and fruit, so it was filling.

🚌 Free airport shuttle!
They offer free pick-up and drop-off service from the airport to the accommodation. Even when I stayed at Lonuveli for a night and then went to another resort, they contacted the other resort to check the ferry schedule and arranged for pick-up and drop-off at the port. The service was excellent!

☕ Lots of restaurants and cafes nearby
Because this is an island populated by locals, there are plenty of amenities nearby. There are supermarkets and shops, and there are also quite a few cozy restaurants and cafes around the accommodation. It's within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring.

- Cafe 73: A local cafe with a great atmosphere.
- Coba Cabana: A beachfront restaurant with a great atmosphere, serving fusion dishes like kimchi fried rice.

- Café Ier Hulhumalé: A place with a Maldivian vibe. Dine in!

- Redwave City Square: Everything from groceries to clothing, sunglasses, and swimwear!

- Central Park: A park frequented by locals, perfect for a stroll.
