Ice Lake, Moirig Snow Mountain

The scenery is ok, mainly hiking. Due to the rain and slippage and our lack of supply in the middle, the pure hiking time is 5 and a half hours, plus the rest time is 9 hours a day. Later, we reviewed it, if we saw the base camp when we went up the mountain, according to our original plan, it is estimated that the hike time is about 5 hours, and the whole day is about 8 hours.

Ice Lake is located at the foot of Meili Snow Mountain. It is not large in scale. From Yubeng Village, follow the signs and turn over the mouth of Xiaonongyu at an altitude of more than 3,400 meters. It takes about five hours to walk. We are not very lucky. The ice lake is covered with snow and can't see the appearance.

The ice lake is also called Shenhu. It is located in Yubeng Village for a few hours. It is more than 4,000 meters above sea level. It is close to the Meili Snow Mountain. Because most of the time the lake is frozen, pay attention to safety when walking. Travelers can choose to see

My friends and I went to the ice lake first, after the Xiaonong base camp, 91 China-Japan joint mountaineering team climbed the base camp of Meili Snow Mountain, this attempt ended with the life of 17 warriors. About an hour from the base camp to the ice lake, we saw two avalanches when we took a break for lunch. Because Kawaborg is avalanche-prone, climbing is difficult, and Tibetans regard it as a holy mountain, the government has banned any climbing activities, and the Meili Snow Mountain will always be a virgin peak that no one has conquered.

I go to IceLake on 1 January 2020 , very hard to walk because the heavy snowing and a difficulty with fluidity from walking on ice but when I arrived the scenery so amazing!!! I start walk from Yuneng Village at 10.00am and arrived at Ice Lake 14.30 pm. I think this season its dangerous for some traveller.

We went in February. The uphill road from the base camp to the ice lake was snow and ice. The road was particularly slippery, dangerous and difficult to climb. I finally climbed to the top of the mountain and saw the ice lake. Because I was afraid that there was not enough time to go back, we took pictures on the top of the mountain. Later, I heard that I could go back from the ice lake, along the already dry ice lake, and the time was shorter, but the road was not easy to walk, and they were all large and small stones that hit the mountain. Finally, we all decided to go back on this road, by the way, you can also go down the ice lake to see, come once is not easy, since you come, go down to see the real body of the ice lake, do not leave regrets. So after taking pictures on the top of the mountain, we went down the ice lake. Thankfully we came down the ice lake, saw the glacier up close, found a beautiful ice cave, lamenting the magic of nature...
