As China's Dongdaemun, Zhoushan Islands are the first line of maritime defense. Here, more than a hundred years ago, there were many martyrs fighting foreign enemies. Now, a memorial park has been built on the original Fort site, once called Zhushan Park, now renamed Opium War Site Park. The park is built on the mountain, with beautiful scenery and remembering the martyrs.
