Renmin Park

Zaozhuang People's Park is located in the middle section of Jiefang North Road, Central District, Zaozhuang City, 200 meters south of Zaozhuang Bus Terminal. It is a comprehensive park integrating animal and plant viewing, culture, education and entertainment. The park was built in 1964 and expanded in 1976. The park is divided into a vegetation garden, a zoo, and an entertainment and leisure area, covering an area of ​​100,000 square meters. Various plants of 53 families, 91 genera, and more than 150 species are tested and cultivated in the park, and more than 4,000 trees are planted.

The zoo houses more than 100 kinds of rare birds and beasts from home and abroad. The Central Botanical Garden focuses on vegetation display, with a flower viewing room, rose garden, osmanthus garden, etc., as well as an open-air pine and cypress forest and a rare tree viewing room. The 14 five-needle pine trees in the garden are all over 3 meters high, and their number and height are rare in the province, making them the treasures of the garden.

The Northern Zoo raises more than 40 species of national first-, second- and provincial-level protected animals, including the Siberian tiger, golden monkey, white pheasant, golden pheasant, etc., as well as more than 30 species of rare birds and animals from other countries and regions, including African lions, ostriches, Indian peacocks, etc. The park has supporting garden buildings such as artificial lakes, rockery, and comprehensive service buildings.
