JORVIK Viking Centre

A must-visit when visiting York. The Time Warp ride takes you back to the early days of a Viking settlement where you can smell the food, hear the talking and the singing and feel the vibes.

The Viking Pirate Ship Museum is a collection of the history of the Viking Pirate Age in which Norway dominated Europe from 800 to 1050 in the Middle Ages. The pirate boats collected in the museum are beautiful in shape, which is difficult to connect with the bloody pirate culture. Norwegian ancestor Swell's man-made boats were different from others, and "there was a bow at each end of the boat" were the characteristics of the Viking boats of that era.
