The Liuzi Temple is the core attraction of the Liuzi Scenic Area. It was built by the Yongzhou people to commemorate the Tang Dynasty's progressive thinker, politician and distinguished writer and ancient official in Yongzhou, Liu Zongyuan. Liuzi Temple is seated on Liuzi Street in the west of Xiaoshui, Yongzhou. The Liuzi Temple is a brick-and-wood structure and there are three stone carvings of the Liuzi Temple on the temple door.
