Xinjiang Catholic Church

The Catholic Church of Xinyi is a large Catholic church in Xinyi County, Shanxi Province, China, and the Catholic Church of Xinyi (Yuncheng) Diocese is located on the high cliff at the top of the North Street of Xinyi County. Xinyi is the earliest place to enter Catholicism in Shanxi Province, 1620 (Ming Dynasty Wanli 48 years), Italian priest Ajulius came to Zhangzhou, established the first Catholic church in Shanxi Province.

The new catholic church is a fine art in China's existing gothic churches, and the catholic churches in Shanghai, Guangzhou and Qingdao are also called the four major gothic churches in China. It is said that in March 1938, Dr Bethune went to Yan'an to pass through Xinxu, where he stayed at the church.
