Nanchan (Southern Zen) Temple

From the railway station, take No. 103 to the foot of Nanchan Temple. You can climb straight up from the clove garden or obliquely insert the word "filial piety". Nanchan Temple is one of the relatively complete preserved ancient buildings in Xining. It belongs to the Pure Land Sect of Han Buddhism and is the oldest Buddhist temple in Qinghai Province. The "layout" stands on the side of the hill, with the Fazhuan Temple on the left and the Nanchan Temple on the right. There are Daxiong Temple, Thousand Buddha Hall, Jade Buddha Hall, Three Saints Hall, Weituo Hall, Maitreya Hall, Gezang Hall and so on. On the west side of the gate, there are Buddhist Buddhist monks. On the square in front of the Qianfo Temple, the smell of butter lamp made me very unsuitable for new arrivals. Although it is Han Buddhism, there are also magnificent turning canals and colorful banners on the square. From the shadow wall in front of the door to the eaves and corners of Daxiong Palace, the sculptures are extremely complex and delicate.

In the Northern Song Dynasty (997-1065 A.D.), monasteries were built in Fenghuangshan, and a certain scale was formed in the eight years of Mingle. Two years of Tongzhi reign in Qing Dynasty, part of it was destroyed! It is one of the Buddhist monasteries of the Han Dynasty. This complex, centered on the Guandi Temple, is one of the relatively complete ancient buildings in Xining. The temple has five courtyards and 86 houses. It was listed as the first-level cultural relic protection unit in Qinghai Province in May 1986. The monastery in Xining is named after its location. There is a character of filial piety on the hillside. There are pictures of Mother Mencius and Godmother Mencius in the murals.
