Chengdu to Xi'an, four days and three nights
First of all, do not go during holidays at all costs. Perhaps because it was the first time in three years that restrictions were lifted, Shen and I chose to go on the seventh day of the Lunar New Year when everyone else had returned to work. Still, there were super many people, and every tourist spot was crowded.
Travel suggestions:
day1: Take the high-speed train from Chengdu to Xi'an North, and try to choose one that arrives earlier (before 15:00). After getting off the train, take either Line 4 or Line 2. I recommend staying near Hepingmen subway station (40 minutes direct from Xi'an North Station on Line 4). It's advised to book the hotel two days in advance, plan your schedule well, and book several days at once (recommend Vienna and Hanting hotels). If you're not tired, you can walk around the Xi'an City Wall at night, and then take photos at the Bell Tower and Drum Tower below (don't spend money to go up).
day2: Get up early in the morning and queue up for breakfast at Xiaonanmen, check in with beef pancakes, vegetable buns, and fried dough twists with soy milk (personally, I'm more accustomed to soy milk with fried dough sticks). In the morning, you can visit the Shaanxi History Museum, and in the afternoon, go to the Tang Paradise or The Longest Day in Chang'an (all three attractions require a reservation three days in advance). In the evening, you can stroll around the Tang Paradise that never sleeps. For those who love beauty, you can try dressing up in ancient costumes. We thought about it for a long time but didn't decide. If there's a chance to go to Fenghuang Ancient Town, be sure to try the ethnic costumes.
day3: We chose to join a tour to Mount Hua. If you want to have a panoramic view of the mountains, it's recommended to take the cable car up from the west and down from the north. If you're physically fit, you can hike up from the north and then take the cable car down from the west. Be sure to pick a non-holiday or a regular day to go, otherwise, it's too crowded and dangerous, and most importantly, you won't get to experience the plank walk in the sky. We went during the Spring Festival and didn't manage to queue up, and I guess we won't have the courage to climb Mount Hua again, a bit of regret.
day4: Similarly, we joined a tour to the Terracotta Army. Actually, it's not much different from what you see on TV. If you want to truly experience the ancient people's masterpiece, it's still worth a visit, as it varies from person to person. However, the Daqin Theatre is worth a visit (provided it's not too crowded). Alright, pack up and head home.
The ancient city of Xi'an has a long history, beautiful environment, rich and colorful local food, people are mouth-watering, everywhere are attractions and museums, people linger, it is worth a visit!
Xi'an Bell Tower, Xi'an's landmark building, since I came to Daxi'an, I climbed up and took a look. There are introductions to the source of the bell tower, and some components left over from the old building at that time, such as tiles, tiles and the like.
Xi'an Bell Tower has Qi Baishi paintings, all of which are true. The most famous is Qi Baishi painting shrimps. There is a performance in the Drum Tower. It’s good to go to the Bell Tower at night, it’s very popular. During the day, the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower, and the Muslim Street will be visited together.
What I especially want to say is that I have been to Xi'an for a few days. I have been to Xi'an Bell Tower (where to book tickets online). After I arrived at the scenic spot, I couldn't find the booking information, and I couldn't get in at the entrance. Just when we were in a hurry, a handsome guy on duty came, asked what the situation was, and immediately helped us check the information, or no. Then we found a POS machine and lost the mobile phone number or no. He thought about it and wanted to say that he lost the ID number to try it. The result was found soon. I was really touched at the time. I didn't know what to say to thank him and left 2 photos for everyone. Like this handsome guy! Like the people of Xi'an!
Xi'an Bell Tower, located in the center of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, is one of the most complete and functional ancient bell towers in China. As an ancient city symbol, the bell tower witnessed the historical changes of Xi'an. I was fortunate to visit the Xi'an Bell Tower on a recent trip, and I was impressed by the magnificent scenery and long history.
Visit the 4th floor of the nearby mall to get the best views of the tower, especially at night. I haven’t entered the inside of the tower.
It's worth going, too many places are fascinating, in addition to the significance of the big beauty is still beautiful! Visit with a feeling of reverence and love for the motherland! Xi'an tour ten miles lights a prosperous life I wish the age of the first literati politicians to respect historical figures so much, let me can not help but for the scenery of that era! Zhou Qin, Han and Tang, the history of the river shining countless pearls, I seem to have entered the scene of life before the millennium! Taste local cuisine noodles, wontons, and snacks, as if the tongue is beating on the thick mark of the years! Coming to Xi'an feels like crossing the time and space tunnel, as if returning to ancient times. Each place is full of mystery and charm.
The clock tower is a must-check place. The lighted clock tower feels different from the clock tower during the day. The clock tower is named after the iron clock hanging upstairs. Xi'an Bell Tower is a magnificent building with strong Chinese characteristics, and it is also the largest and most complete clock tower that China can currently see.
