Lianxi Temple

Lianxi Temple was founded in the late Yuan and early Ming Dynasty. It is one of the four Buddhist jungles in Wuhan and a Buddhist "women's jungle" in Wuhan - a nunnery. The entire courtyard of Lianxi Temple has a rigorous structure, proper layout, and has the style of Chinese wooden architecture. The temple is facing south and is divided into four entrances: there is a courtyard at the entrance to the mountain gate, the east of the courtyard is the ancestral hall, the west is the meditation hall, and the middle is the Amitabha Hall. From the Amitabha Hall, enter the Daxiong Hall, and then enter the Tibetan Sutra Building. The Canglin Cang Kitchen and other ancillary buildings are in the east. The temple is not only known as the Lotus Dojo among the four major Buddhist jungles in Wuhan, but also a famous Buddhist education base. Today's Lianxi Temple has been renovated, the environment is quiet, antique, and there are many plants in the temple, which are pleasing to the eye. An ancient tree named Coral Pu grows on a slope and is adjacent to the outer wall of the first hall. The shape is semi-regular and semi-irregular, which is very beautiful.
