Geneva Lake

Lake Geneva was nicknamed "Big Footprint" in the early days, and later, because of the construction of the railway, it was favored by business leaders from all walks of life in the 19th century. Log, livestock, oil, steel, cement, manufacturing and other business giants have built spectacular holiday villas here. You can stroll around the lake and take the popular local boat cruise (closed in winter), and admire the many different shapes and styles of holiday homes that stretch along the lower lake.
