Church of St. Francis of Assissi [Location] Part of Old Goa, across the street from the Mercy Jesus Cathedral. [Ticket] 20 rupees. Painting exhibition paid separately. [Introduction] The church was built in 1861 and was a product of Portuguese colonialism at that time. So the main display inside can be said to be the process of Christianity in Goa's dissemination and development, Goa and the surrounding colonization process. The facade is white, not won by high, but spread horizontally. There is a painting exhibition upstairs, all of which are Christian subjects, we did not go. [Visit] There are fixed lines that guide tourists in one direction. Many Indians sit on corridor steps or railings to avoid the midday sun.

The cathedral is structured in a small hillside and consists of the upper church, lower church and the tomb where the remains of San Francisco are laid, as well as an affiliated monastery. The interior of the cathedral is beautiful, that is, unlike the Gothic style of Central Europe, and also different from the typical bright Roman style, very special, highly recommended!
This church is very special. The upper and lower parts of the interior are churches. The deepest part is Francis's tomb, which is why countless pilgrims come here. In Assisi, many pilgrims can be seen.
nicely good day😊
Rose-colored holy city Assisi (ASSISI) A city of Catholic saints born of religion in central Italy, here, founded the San Francis sect UNESCO has listed the relics of St. Francis as a world cultural heritage to praise its greatness for promoting peace and perseverance The influence made ASSIS the Holy Land of the Catholic Church of San Francisco with a Gothic architectural style with large-scale and exquisite murals, rich in color and wonderful. In order to preserve cultural relics, when entering the visit, it is absolutely forbidden to take pictures of Assisi's monuments. There are many 5 kilometers of long city walls surrounded by almost completely maintaining the appearance of the Middle Ages. The whole city is mainly made of a faint rose-colored stone. From a distance, noble and generous. It's a rose-colored holy city.
