Visited Joto Machiya in Tsuyama, Okayama. It was a beautiful cityscape with no electric poles. The road was a little narrow, but it was nice to have an atmosphere.
The first place I visited for sightseeing in Little Kyoto and Tsuyama was "Joto Mukashi Machiya". The road is about 1㎞ and the old townscape remains, and it is located in a place where you can feel the atmosphere of the castle town. When I arrived and waited before the town house opened, the door opened for a while. When I casually asked about the origin of the board hanging at the entrance, I was not sure if it was for crime prevention, but it seems worth investigating because it can be seen at the entrance here and there. The open town house has a long dirt floor, and there are kura, tea room, and a large ... in the back.

The Joto district of Tsuyama City has been selected as an important preservation district for traditional buildings. When I was strolling through the elegant townscape, I found the Joto Musashi Machiya (former Kajimura Residence). It is a townhouse built in the Genroku era 310 years ago, and admission is free.
