This is the lodging and merchant area along the ancient Izumo Kaidou route.

The township of Tsuyama in the feudal area was composed of three districts. The samurai residence area on the west (Jousai district) the merchant area in the south where area names such as Moto-uo-mac...

    Joto Mukashi Machiya

    Original Text

Visited Joto Machiya in Tsuyama, Okayama. It was a beautiful cityscape with no electric poles. The road was a little narrow, but it was nice to have an atmosphere.

A large mansion with a distance and a tea room!

    Original Text

The first place I visited for sightseeing in Little Kyoto and Tsuyama was "Joto Mukashi Machiya". The road is about 1㎞ and the old townscape remains, and it is located in a place where you can feel the atmosphere of the castle town. When I arrived and waited before the town house opened, the door opened for a while. When I casually asked about the origin of the board hanging at the entrance, I was not sure if it was for crime prevention, but it seems worth investigating because it can be seen at the entrance here and there. The open town house has a long dirt floor, and there are kura, tea room, and a large ... in the back.

[Important unified construction group preservation area ・ Chengdong] Inside で 2の Large house の 1 つです (He の 1; Old Putian Wine Maker)

    Original Text

There are two large mansions in [Important Traditional Buildings Preservation District, Joto] (the other one; the former Hida Sake Brewery), and Joto Mukamachiya (former Kajimura Family Residence) is located in the eastern area where the electric wires are underground. Therefore, it looks great and recommends visiting I will. Joto Mukamachiya (former Kajimura family residence) seems to be a wealthy merchant who was allowed to have a surname sword in the money exchange dealer of the Tsuyama domain, and the site is 16 rooms (31.5m) and 17 rooms with a depth of 1 shaku 7 sun (34m). [Main House] [Affiliated House] [Zashiki] [Western House] [...

    Admission は No materials

    Original Text

The Joto district of Tsuyama City has been selected as an important preservation district for traditional buildings. When I was strolling through the elegant townscape, I found the Joto Musashi Machiya (former Kajimura Residence). It is a townhouse built in the Genroku era 310 years ago, and admission is free.
